I will posit the only reason humans have larger members than other primates is because for some reason larger males have a higher level of confidence, and women are attracted to men who are more confident than other men. It make complete sense from a survival perspective. But at the same time, average is very successful for a host of reasons, and is way more adequate than needed. Other than bragging tales to their girlfriends (usually at youth) women could care less about size (and prefer average for comfort) and more about how you use it, comfort her, protect her, and have enough confidence do the the previous things just mentioned. Same for guys, the wild kinky hot chick is great for stories, but not so much for being the mother of your family. I'm not saying wild kinky hot chicks can't be good mothers no more than well endowed men can't make good fathers, I'm just saying everyone exagerates their stories, embellishes them for dramatic purposes.

 

There is actually this thing in porn industry lingo called The Rule of 8's. Basically, a prospective porn actor must meet the criteria for this rule:

The ability to perform on camera for a minimum of 88 minutes.

You must live in the 831 area code. (Northern Hollywood)

Lastly, a penis size of 8 inches or more.

I get where most of you are coming from, but honestly, the reason why you see guys with big dicks on porn videos is because big dicks look better on camera. Likewise, the reason why chicks with big boobs or big butts are so common in porn is because they look better on camera.

I've never felt inadequate or felt a sense of envy from watching porn, because I'm happy with what I've got. The average size penis length is actually 5.2 inches. (I'm going by an actual study.)

The ideal length among most men is 7 inches. (Conversely, this size was most commonly self-reported amongst the study group beforehand.)

Penis size is a much bigger issue among men than it is for women. Most women prefer a length of 5-6 inches. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, but most women prefer their men to be able to able to please them versus being well endowed. The reason why it's such a big issue among men is because men perceive the guy with the big penis as being more successful.

When it comes to porn, most guys understand that it's all just fantasy. That's why you see pretty much the same scene over and over. Porn hasn't really changed all that much over the years, but internet porn has ushered in a newfound sense of diversity by being available to a broader audience. There's more diversity in tastes, so the industry capitalizes on that by making more diverse content. Basically, what I'm saying is the industry is responding to what their audience wants to see. All successful businesses operate on the principle of supply and demand.

I think that it is silly to feel inadequate. Unless you were born with a micropenis, you have nothing to worry about. Honestly, I think the real issue is a lack of confidence. I talk to women all the time. If I had the right mindset, I could easily be a ladies man. I don't have that mindset, but maybe the reason why I became so wrapped up in porn was because it was "safe". I didn't have to risk getting rejected, so I could go to that well without fear whenever I wanted.
