best movie soundtrack

That is close to my favorite: Django Unchained. The music is really enchanting, and fits the movie. Even better for when just listening to the soundtrack as an album, there are a few outsider songs that really cleanses the palate before the next song, so the western music still stays fresh.

 

Tarrantino doesn't fuck around when it comes to soundtracks.

 

When drunk, I go for Close Encounters of the Third Kind. John Williams. The overture.

I suggest Queen live at Wembley, '86. What a star.

 

On both, totally agreed. That Platoon one is Samuel Barber. Heartbreaking.

To me, Soundtrack means a collection of songs with lyrics. For that, I pick Guardians of the Galaxy. As far as score, instrumental music, some favorites include Jurassic Park, E.T., Indiana Jones, Superman, Star Wars (just basically any classic John Williams Theme), and Hans Zimmer's scores.
