Do people still face withdrawal symptoms without even quitting porn proper?

I feel like I'm flatline (small soft rubbery shriveled dead dick) and all stories I've read state flatline happens after quitting. Also, I have no libido. I'm stuck in feeling alone...

You'll experience withdrawals when your brains not getting the same levels of dopamine it's used to.

I see. Well let me ask this. Is it possible that I’ve (or anyone) would masturbate(d) to porn so much, I’ve literally desensitized my brain to normal dopamine levels? Is this why I’m getting no arousal and flatline symptoms without even starting NoFap?

I don’t know of any other NoFap reboot stories that share the same symptoms as mine...which is why I’m just so confused and feel so alone.

I’m having trouble starting NoFap, yet i’m getting withdrawal symptoms? What the hell...?

This sounds like desensitization even to porn. Basically you have PMOed so much that the same old porn isn't exciting you much anymore. What usually happens when this happens is people search more weird, extreme porn genres to reach the same level of sexual excitement. But all this does is desensitize them even more.

I don’t even search more extreme porn genres.

I’m just desensitized to the pixels and real life! It’s severe! My dick is small/shriveled up, and I’m getting the brain fog and most withdrawal symptoms without abstaining.

I am obsessed with finding other stories like mine, because like I’ve said, I feel totally alone...

I don't think it's withdrawal if you're still using porn just the same.

Remember PMOing regularly and for a long time can cause all those mental symptoms. Withdrawal isn't the only thing that causes the mental problems.

I mean a cocaine or heroin addict, or an alcoholic wouldn't just experience mental health problems when they try to stop using. They can still experience mental health problems when they're regularly using, as these things are bad for the brain. It's the same with PMO.

You’re right. I’m just so desperate to find a story so similar to mine and I’m at a loss with it. There are so many rebooting stories at YBOP, that I don’t know where to start.

    I get:

    - Anhedonia
    - Headaches
    - Fatigue
    - Loss of motivation
    - Brain fog
    - ADHD symptoms
    - High Anxiety
    - Inability to concentrate for long periods of time
    - Various depression

    And for physical symptoms:

    - Shriveled dick with less blood flow
    - Loss of morning wood
    - No erections that are spontaneous
    - Lack of arousal from photos and in real life. Most of my blood flow happens if I talk with someone who i deem as attractive and I get precum and very very rarely do I get aroused that way but it happens.

I don’t think it’s anything physically wrong. I had two semi erections that happened after this happened.

I think Porn caused these issues and I inflicted this on myself due to my inability to manage emotions.

I just wish I could find a story and case that would be very, very similar to mine. :-/

Dude most of the stories are like that. I used to have nearly everything your saying. I still do get some of it, but just not as severe.

    Check out yourbrainonporn

You know what you need to do don't you?

  9. Mate, you're story is not yours alone. Many of us share them symptoms. You need to stop watching porn completely and stop making these posts all the time, your case is not unique at all I had shrivelled dick for years and some days still do but it does get back to normal and feels plump after a while. Persistent anhedonia for years, twitching and so many more symptoms for years because I was PMOing and didn't know that what I was experiencing was Withdrawal symptoms.

Porn can cause these symptoms and I can relate your experience but the only way you're going to get better is if you accept, abstain and recover.

    Yes I do.

No you're right. There's just a part of me that might be looking for something to do, and worry on this isn't helping. Maybe it's a part of me that hasn't accepted it yet. I need to. Thank you for the encouragement. I apologize for making so many of these topics...maybe I'm just still in awe you know?

Your story is like, the only one I know other than mine with the smaller, shriveled dick story where one doesn't start from NoFap -> flatline. I just don't understand why it tends to be more of an uncommon story. That's where this crazy OCD of mine is acting up.

  11. Dont apologise man I'm sorry if I came across heavy that was not the intention at all! Your case is near identical to mine believe me. I think once you come to accept or like me hit rock bottom not once but a few times you'll get there. We all do eventually mate theres only so much you can take after all!

  12. Theres a few topics on yourbrainrebalanced where people were saying they felt like they flatlined before Nofap it's not uncommon these days at all. Although our cases are in the minority and I think from a general lack of education there is more people out there. I only come to the conclusion nearly two years ago that what I was experiencing was withdrawal symptoms, prior to that for five years I was relapsing albeit not as much and still putting out big streaks and trying to recover but didn't have an idea about withdrawals or anything I thought the flatline was a 90 day thing and then boom you're recovered.

And I think your depression did.
The list you provided makes me think that you are trying to do what you don't want to do, you have for many years, and you find it increasingly more difficult, and feel worse and worse about not being to do those things that you "should", but obviously "can't", because, actually, don't really want to.
There's is only one way that will work, ultimately. And that is doing more and more of what you want, and letting yourself not do what you think you "should", but actually don't want to.
I'm suggesting something radical, that many would disagree with, but you'll remember this post when you feel like yourself again.

Why do you want to find a story similar? All your symptoms sound 99.9% like all of ours. Just find steps to correct
