Hello, this is my first day when I try to seriously quit watching porn. I started watching porn probably around the age of 11 and since then I've done it til present(I'm 17 now).I tried multiple times to quit but I only lasted 1 week-1week and a half-2weeks.Most of the times i lasted like 3-4 days and then I would lose again my streak. Now I'm serious about it and I found a way to block porn sites on my pc and that is by changing my DNS settings so it won't allow me to enter on porn sites. The thing is that I didn't find a good porn blocker without money involved on my phone so I can stay away from porn on phone(I need a method that can't be easily uninstalled or disabled because when I find a way to disable the app I do it).I also search for a way to motivate myself because porn is not my single problem,I want to stay away from masturbation too for a period of time because when I quit porn for a period of time I feel the need to just masturbate even to free my stress level.Seeking for advice and methods of motivation.

  2. Hey lipton! Welcome to the community! I'm 17 too and I've actually been struggling since I was 11. If you want an AP (Accountability Partner), feel free to message me at any time! I'm usually on sometime during the evening and a bit in the morning, so I'll message you then if you want to. For now, keep at it! My advice would be to fill your schedule with productive things on a scale from completely boring like chores to something completely fun like dancing to some awesome tunes. Keep your body moving for sure and live like you're gonna die tomorrow and don't wanna regret anything. Most of all, remember to not get super down on yourself about relapses (they happen and I understand the pain), but move forward and live the best you can in each and every moment!

@lipton welcome to nofap. I am glad you decided to address this issue. As you are still very young you can make changes to remove all the negative effects of PMO. It is effective to use an AP to handle this at least in the beginning so I suggest you take up @isaacgull offer. In real life also try to make more friends or develop hobbies which are social in nature.

You may want to start a journal in your age group and track your progress there.

    I wish you good luck!

  7. Welcome to No Fao @lipton
Porn Blocker Plus is a free App for your phone and tablet
It works well, although will block some no P sites
It does not have a password, which is good because the only way to override it is b uninstalling it
Qustodio is a good free software for your PC
    Stay strong

Hello, thanks for the advice and support.I found a better way that I suggest everyone to try: changing the DNS settings and will automatically block the porn sites.Just search "openDNS family shield"and set it up on your own(no money needed).I found that to be the best way because I tend to cheat and uninstall blocker plugs or apps.In addition to changing the DNS settings I also have a normal porn blocker app because they can filter better and fully block everything.

  9. Thank you for the tip. Does this work also with your cellular connection? I just googled and it says that only works with Wi-Fi, and that you need to do it every time you connect to a new Wi-Fi network. Do you know if this is true?
    Thank you

I guess that's right. You can't set it for your mobile data but I think it's still ok because rarely you use mobile data while watching porn(i guess).
