You know the benefits you experience on nofap, pornfree will be different for everyone. How long it takes you to experience the benefits, If you will get withdrawal symptoms or not, how long the withdrawal symptoms will last.

Something I have realised recently is everyone starts this at a completely different level. Someone might be far more addicted than someone else. Someone might have far worse brain changes from years of PMO than someone else.

Something I notice quite a lot in comments is guys speak about blockers and blocking porn, and then you will get some guys saying willpower is the best blocker. Now that might be true, but for some guys it's just not realistic with how addicted they're to PMO. I am now at a stage I think I could refuse porn and get good streaks without blockers. But at one time there was no way I could of done it without blockers, and I know how much more I would of relapsed if I wasn't using them. I still use blockers just to be on the safe side.

But the difference in how addicted I was to PMO a few years ago compared to now is completely different. Maybe one guy starts nofap, pornfree before their addiction and brain changes have went that far. Saying to that guy don't use blockers, get a streak of no PMO of 90 days might actually seem somewhat realistic. But if another guy starts this in deep deep addiction and has deep deep brain changes, then a lot of what some guys suggest is a bit unrealistic. Of course the quickest way your going to heal is not looking at any porn, artificial sexual stimulation and not masturbate for long periods of time, 90+ days ext. But how realistic is that for some guys who begin this in deep addiction?

All I am really saying is we are all in a different boat. I am at the stage not looking at porn ever again actually seems somewhat realistic. But at one time I would of never thought in a million years that would of ever been possible.

Now I know my streak only says 4 days without porn. But I relapsed to one single image 4 days ago when I was seriously hungover from alcohol. The only time I seem to ever relapse on porn is when I have a bad hungover from alcohol. This is why I am really trying to give alcohol up.

Nice sentment. I havent read the stickies yet, but I imagine something like this is expressed in them, and if not it should be. It is certainly more helpful to be mindful of what other people are actually expressing with their words. When someone's house is on fire you grab a pail of water for them, not explain the nature reality and how the house and fire don't actually exist as such.

I agree we all are at different stages and places. I went on naltrexone, an anti-addictive medication, and it seems to really help me with my porn addiction. You could try the Sinclair Method (google it) to get off alcohol. A lot of recovering alcoholics say it works well.
With a porn addiction you know someone's house is being destroyed, but you may not know whether a fire, a flood, an earthquake, or a tornado is destroying it. A pail of water might not always be the answer. He may need to deal with one addiction at a time, or all of them together. I don't know.

I've been a few months off porn and recently quit vaping. I am also on a water-only fast at the moment.
