    Hey all,

Male 29 year old. I've had several traumatic illnesses from nerve damage due to car crash and I've been using porn as a crutch to not deal with my underlying aniexty.

Thankfully I'm walking again after several years and I've been opiate free 3 years and alcohol free for 1 year. I've been P and M free for 2 days now. I can get to 8-9 days but then I fail and fall back into a very bad pattern of P and M. Spending several hours on P.

I'm finding porn the hardest to quit due to the ease of availabity and be afraid of my emotions, sometimes I feel like I don't deserve to have a good life. I'm nervous about it but I'm ready to finally not let porn control me and my emotions anymore.

Sometimes I feel like a liar, I life a clean substance and spiritual life but porn has always been there is the background, dragging me back. Therefore I don't live a spiritual life if porn is always there. My hidden demon.

Dear porn, I've had enough, get out of my life.

Man you're still young and seems like you're a tough player.. I love to witness that...
So you survived a car crash and got on your feet once again, that path still continues amigo and the porn addiction is one of the demons you have to kill along the way, like many others. That's the game...

Believe it or not but it is a big achievement for one to realize that he's actually addicted to porn. It's a even bigger to dare to get rid of it.

In my journey, I take this as a battle against the Minotaur (our addiction or the porn demon as you said), the mythological beast that lives in the labyrinth (our brain) in which King Theseus (our true self) is stuck. He has to kill the beast to be free and to return back to his kingdom as a hero.

Here are my 6 divine rules that I follow, hope this helps in your journey too.

    1) Accept this. You are in a battle. This is challenging and you have a problem: Masturbation addiction/Porn addiction. Say it, accept it. This is not the summary of the story. This fact is only the beginning of it; the reason. Each moment you hesitate to accept this, or even worse, denying it, the "horny" beast of the labyrinth is gonna destroy you. So stand up and keep your eyes open, grab your sword. It's time to fight.

    2) Your mood and overall serenity is the source of your strength. Whenever you feel low or unhappy, you're one step closer to fail. So, keep doing what you really like. Have a schedule. Get shit done. Get busy. Don't go to the places where you don't feel you belong. Stay away from negative people. Those faces are and places are toxic and it's killing you slowly, and once your mind and body get poisoned, you'll start to limp, then fall and the Minotaur will find you on your knees; you're an easy prey.

    3) Your house is the devils pit. Leave your house as soon as you wake up. How many times you remember masturbating outside or in public places. Those places are your safe spots where the beast almost can never approach, those are your castles, so be wise and stay wherever you are safe.

    4) No wifi and electronic devices inside the house. Minotaur likes to attack with those. These are his weapons. Oh, you hear the voice "But hey, let's be honest, you can not survive these days without wifi and your smart phone, you really don't have to go to harsh on yourself." This is Minotaur speaking; casting a spell on you. Don't listen. You need internet? Get your laptop and find a café. That simple. By this you're not going harsh on yourself, instead, you're going medieval on your horny enemy.

    5) Gods are watching. And they are counting on you. They'll help you if you ask for it. So don't be afraid. You've got what it takes.

    6) "Never Look Back".

    Good luck amigo.

  3. Let work set you free. Since you can walk after a while, what about running, jumping, dancing? Maybe make these some goals of yours to strengthen your legs. After all it's legs that literally carry you wherever you go.
