I have never told anyone this before because I am very ashamed of it, but I used to masturbate 4 times a day strictly watching porn while doing so. Afterwards, I would feel completely drained of all energy and the hopelessness and feeling of not having control of my life. I hope nofap can significantly change my life for the better, but I’m a little concerned with how Long it will take for me to actually feel better. I made it a month and a half, and I was feeling a little better, but all of a sudden I relapsed twice last night.. What I’m asking is, if here are people here who have the same experiences as me, how long does it take to feel the benefits of nofap?

  2. Yes. Even I used to jerk off from age of 13 to porn 2-3* times day. It didn't even give me fun just lust and addiction. Then after 5 yrs of this i i have lost my erection completely even while watching porn i cannot get it complete erect it's just semi... So i have started nofap. People say 30-90 days for benefits

Hey man, a month and a half is literally amazing, I’ve on average I have probably done it a couple times a week, but I have gone through periods when it was everyday, even multiple times a day. Most I’ve done it I think was 9, my best streak of abstinence is 13 days but I frequented every 7 days or so. I’ve never gone over 13 since I started 7 years ago. So man just have a level head, Pray for a sound mind, and get back on it and be determined they say 3 weeks to break a habit I know you can do it man

  4. What kind of benefits are you talking about? In my experience nofap helps you become a normal human being with normal life. It's not gonna grant gou magical benefits instantly and is a slow process that usually takes months to be noticable.

I think i had also avarage thing, no porn watch, but imaginary still.. and age plays role too how fast some see results indeed:)

  6. Yes @Average Savage , I was a PMO addict during 40 years, 4-5 times per day was a "normal day" for me. I cannot imagine now how I did not lose my job and family ( wife and 2 kids) , it was just a drain of time, energy and money (I used to pay escorts and P sites).
It takes a lot of time and effort, the addiction will not disappear 100% in 2 months. To be honest, not even 2 years . At least in my case, it was super engrained inside my brain.
Every day is a fight, either you win it or you lose it.
With time and effort your brain will get cleaner and cleaner: think it like lungs full of nicotine after years of smoking, they clean themselves with time, it does not happen from one day to the other.
You need to be patient and have strength and perseverance.

    Here are some tips:
It is a big step if you can understand what is triggering your urges, because this will allow you to be awake and kill those urges as soon as they appear.

I recommend you to create your own "Emergency Toolbox" with readings that can be handy to read when you start feeling urges to screw up.
I can share this post with you with my own Emergency Toolbox, it helped me a lot during the first few months, i had them in my cell and read them every time I started falling down:

I wrote some tips in this post that perhaps will help you too:

You can watch some interesting videos which are also very helpful in this post:

I also suggest you to read "Breaking the Cycle" by George Collins, it is a must-read if you are serious about getting rid of this addiction.
To get more focus and feel happier with life I recommend you to start doing meditation.. I have been using an App called Headspace for the last two months which is great if you have never meditated before. The first 10 sessions are free if you want to give a try. I used to feel a bit depressed or feeling without energy to start new projects in my life, and meditation has helped me a lot with this.

Last but not least, I would strongly recommend you to take new e-course that Mark Queppet launched in his new website, called: " REFORGED MAN: Quit porn and Master Yourself-Be a Man you Admire", it is the updated version of the e-course he used to have in NoFap Academy. It is not cheap ($200) but it is totally worth it because he gives great toold to fight PMO.You can find it here:
    https://courses.universalman.com/courses/reforged-man
You can also join his website called Patreon, where he posts great stuff for free every week, and also you can join the pay area to be part of his weekly video calls where you can chat with them in real life, get coaching and listen to other guys's stories and problems too. You can find it here:
    https://www.patreon.com/home
You can also use this Excel table to track your reboot. If you did not watch P or MO'd you leave it in 0 and it will show gree, if you did it you fill in in the column (PMO or MO) with the amount of times, if it was 1 it will show in yellow, 2 or more in red. In the left column you can add how strong the urges were each day.

I hope that all this helps you to fight this shitty addiction.
    Let's keep on fighting

I guess that’s what I meant, I asked two different things so I see why it’s a little confusing. How long until the brain fog, social anxiety, word jumble, and lack of motivation to even get out of bed goes away? I understand that it’s different for everyone depending on the person, but the general consensus is that after a certain amount of time these issues become almost unnoticeable or become tremendously easier to deal with. I get that nofap is supposed to bring you back to the person you were supposed to be because porn is so detrimental to our mental health and it had turned us into someone who we aren’t; How long should it take for me to feel normal?

Thank you so much for your help! You seem to have a lot of experience so I appreciate you sharing your advice. I have another question. Do you think I should delete and block all super attractive women from my social media? Like girls I will probably never see in my life? I feel like it is obvious I should, but I wanna hear your take on it. Also, I have quite a bit of pictures I saved of these woman on my phone, but I feel like I can’t delete them for some reason. I don’t ever look at them so I don’t think they are a trigger, but I just saved them because they are really gorgeous woman. Thanks again for your help.

  9. Well, in my case it takes around 2-3 or even 4 weeks to change a habit, and create new habits. So I think it would be the same for lack of discipline, you'll gradually get better at it and then it becomes second nature to follow the new lifestyle.
It took me well over 5-6 months to feel normal. (It's still an ongoing process and I am closing in on two years now, so I can't say how normal I am, as if it's possible. I don't think anyone's normal around me, and we all have our positives and negatives. But with a good streak, that implies lifestyle changes too, it takes around 3-6 months to get more of the positive stuff in your life than before. Examples include jogging, lifting, reading instead of watching useless entertainment stuff over internet etc.)

  10. Yes @Average Savage , you should delete every picture that can be a trigger or it does not belong to a real person you know. What is the purpose to have pictures of women you do not know, other than to get aroused and MO? This is another "PMO substitute (or sub)", you are just lying yourself if you think you need them
Actually, plan to be out of social media the most possible you can. Unless you work in social media or PR, there is no reason to lose so much time in that shit anyway. Do something mpre useful for your life instead
