Good for you. Believe me, reboot is possible and only brings positive things into your life. Any particular reason why you've joined NoFap?

It might be, it all depends on who you are. Everybody is different and everybody reacts to the reboot process differently. While I may be able to go for two weeks without PMO without any problem, others may only be able to go 2 days. Most experts say that 90 days is a good timeframe on average for the brain to be reprogrammed from most addictions in general. Do this journey in small steps. Shoot for 7 days...14 days...30 days...45 days...60 days...90 days. Commit to this journey in small steps at a time.

Thanks for the tips, i have started my journey. So far no urges and will hopefully have none that are bad enough to relapse

  8. Probably not. Nofap is useful for a better life but not enough by itself. Calm down, be patient, it's a long process.

  9. No, it isn't. You started your addiction age 13. The teenage years is when your brain undergoes a massive rewiring (which is why the teenage years are so difficult). You are now 18, almost at the end of your brain's rewiring. It has been wired to associate sex with porn and your hand, not with women (or men if you're gay), and with sissy.

The research isn't conclusive, but we believe that this can be fixed. But 60 days just won't cut it. Here are the lengths of time that you can expect.
    • No porn: For the rest of your life. Seriously. No porn! Delete your entire porn stash, and do it right now! Close all online porn accounts. If you can, ask your ISP and your phone provider to block all adult sites.
    • No masturbation: Recommended for the rest of your life, but definitely at least for the next 90 days. @Fapstronaut 9 suggests six months, and he might be right. In any case, at your age, once you start to heal (probably in three or four months you'll start to notice a significant step change in your life), you should start to be able to attract real women (or men if you're gay). Then real sex will become an option, and why would you want to masturbate then?
    • No fetishes: For the rest of your life. Whatever fetishes you have (including sissy), just don't do it. You want to undo the connection that your brain has between fetish and sex.
    • No sex: At least for the next 90 days, but preferably six months. Given your original post, it seems that this won't be a problem for you :)
I know that this all seems scary, but which is more scary — this regime (which seriously gets easier the longer you do it), or fucking up the rest of your life with being a victim, experiencing PIED, having no social life…?

    Good luck!
