I hate myself

    I find nofap especially hard because I hate myself. I made it 20 days last year and gave up. I made it 18 days and relapsed last night. Before I tried again and after my relapse I just can’t stop thinking about how much I hate myself and my life. When I’m not in a nofap mode I tolerated myself I still hated myself but the feelings of self hatred became very intense before ny relapse yesterday at day 18. I didn’t feel any “super powers” I felt slightly more confident but not enough to where I felt continuing was worth it. I don’t see how it’s going to improve my financial situation. All I saw was a long annoying road with no one there waiting for me and before stuck with myself

    Do these things, don't question them, just do them and reflect back after a week (keep a journal daily):
    -> it's about the process.

    1. Don't punish yourself when you fall back and don't compare yourself to others. (First of all, hating yourself doesn't fix anything. Meen words don't do a thing than other than get you used to and numb yourself from your own words. Yes some shouting can help temporary or cursing, but making plans, having good routines and schedules are FAR superior to hating yourself)
    1A. WHAT do you want? Write these things down. WHY do you want to quit the behavior, write it down.
    2. Run every day or walk/exercise every day for at least 10-30 minutes.
    3. Write down 10 things you like about yourself (doesn't have to be every day new ones, but try to think about new ones)
    4. Realize this is a thing that takes time. It doesn't change overnight, but it's noticeable.
    5. Take time for at least 10 minutes to NOTICE things you like. Do this activity and spend time. It could be personal things, sunshine or good music.
    make this a habit during the day.
    6. Get a good book and read.
    7. Have a daily routine to do.
    8. Feedback yourself. What goes wrong? Question every day how it can be better.

  3. Consider seeing a therapist and start exercising regularly.

    This feelings of hate might be because of porn and masturbation, i can assure you there is nothing bad with you.
