    Hi,
Is there any person who was very addicted to porn and finally successful in quiting it. For example, he/she have completed 90 days or more nofap. Give me some ADVICE,,, how can I get of this problem. I tried many methods but not able to give up this mentally killing habit.

I finally found something worth quitting for. I was looking at losing my wife and daughter because I was more interested in fulfilling my addiction rather then work at quitting and making myself a better man.

I used to be addicted to it, I used to masturbate 3-4 times then I slowly started hating myself like you then I stopped for few days months then again masturbated but it slowly went down by 2 times a day to 2 times a week and now its getting better. My advice for you is believe in yourself, porn is really bad for the brain its using you like a slave, and you're listening to it the brain is just playing games with us, telling we will do it one last time but then it's just doesnt stop. Try to stop, try youre best

  4. Forget shame and sorrow. Be more determined and tough on yourself. But the only thing that has worked for me is admitting my problem in therapy. It hasn't cured me, but it has helped me a hell of a lot.

  5. It's a vicious problem. The brain is not easily persuaded to re-wire unless you force it to re-wire by introducing new habits and holding your resolve no matter what happens. David Goggins says if the brain controls you, then you're f*%ked because it knows it's only a matter of time (even if must wait for a 90 day streak or more) before we break down and give in to the cravings. You must control the brain and not succumb to its strategy of putting you in pain and suffering to convince you it's better to go back to PMO. I only began making progress when I started to take this addiction very serious. I became emotional, i.e. got angry, frustrated, and hated it for screwing my life with PIED and anxiety. Once the pain of continuing with the addiction feels worse than the pain required to change, you will be able to build some momentum and start making good progress.

Hello and welcome to the community.

I used to masturbate up to 8~9 times a day sometimes! So I can be counted as a heavy P user. But I'm my brain hasn't been rewired yet, I'm still working on it. However, I found some helpful methods...

I would recommend you to stay in touch with members and read their success stories. You may also learn tricks to avoid the short-term pleasure and to face the temptations.

Be aware of your habits and control what you see and what/who you spend your time with.

This video contains everything that you need to know about porn addiction. And here is a collection of ways to deal with the urges which worked great for me.

You got this my friend ;)

I really like @Stolen Soul comment. I think I do a similar but slightly different thing. I pretty much think that all we need to beat pmo is the decision that we want to stop. Think about it, the rate of success increases for most people when they get an illness because of pmo (black balls, vein issues), extreme pied even with porn, divorce, losing jobs etc. In this instances these people finally realise that porn is effing up their lives and finally make the decision. Other times we haven't convinced ourselves fully. Now the reason why I feel the decision is key is that it doesn't matter whether you have a strong will or not. If you want to change you will do anything to change. If relapse is an issue you'd get friends and family involved, you wouldn't lie to your partner, you'd seek professional help etc. If you find yourself relapsing numerous times, you wouldn't just talk to the nofap community and try the failed plan again: the addiction is simply controlling you at this point. If we are committed to change we don't need to ask questions, the answer is always stop pmo by any means. So don't wait for something bad to convince you, porn is bad, we are fighting an addiction, make the choice now.

First. It sounds like you're panicking. Stop that. It's like struggling and flopping your arms around when you're drowning. It doesn't help. You need to relax. Take a big breath. Smile (even though you don't feel like it). There's a lot of really great stuff out there that makes life awesome! You may not feel that way no but you will in time.

Second. You can and will beat this. You're here meaning that you've made the most important of all decisions you can make with regard to this problem. You've decided to quit. Congratulations seriously... You have no idea the kinds of rewards and powerful benefits and realizations that lay right around the corner.. Seriously..

Third. You need to find a way to stabilize yourself. Meaning after you've ceased this silly panicking you're doing, you need to find your center. You need to latch on to an idea or a set of ideas/reasons as to why you know you need to cut this problem out of your life. Do it right now. Say "I'm quitting PMO because..." and even better would be to write down the reasons.

Fourth. Here's the most important thing. Neurologically speaking you've changed your brain chemistry a bit and it will take a little discipline and effort in order to get things running normally in terms of your dopamine reward system and hormone balances etc... You're going to feel like shit for a bit. Accept it. Be a fucking man and tough it out. If you feel apathy, so be it. If you feel depressed, so be it. If you feel like the only thing in the entire world you want to do is just look at big bouncy boobs, so be it. But don't you dare look at them. Choose the reasons why you're doing this. and remember them when you're tempted. Personally I think of my future wife and kids, a great job, free time to do whatever the hell I please, land where I can grow things and endless books I can read and absorb.

Here's the takeaway. Right now your brain is HARDCORE craving a dopamine hit by the means of a habitual path that you yourself have set up. You looked at porn, you touched yourself, it felt damn good (before O anyway), and your brain remembers. Oh yes your brain remembers, and unless you allow your prefrontal cortex to override and take control over your limbic system you'll never get out of this. But relax, because this is more than doable and as long as you don't give up and basically accept pathetic mediocrity you'll be fine.

Godspeed to you friend. May you reach your point of no return sooner rather than later

    CONTROL YOURSELF TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.

My advice on you is to CONTROL yourself to not to fap. Controlling yourself is one of my method to stop it. in addicted also in porn but i watch often. I watch porn because of boredom and im just watching on it anymore and the urge to fap is always there but i set on my mind just to watch but not to fap, relax and chill.

I achieve my 3 months goal not to fap and i succeed bruh. this what i can say to you, If i can do it, you can do it also.

Wait, you did 3 months watching porm but no MO. Out of curiosity, what was the reason for this? I know people can be addicted to MO etc. But porn is usually a really big factor in all this.
