    Greetings!

Been fighting this addiction for years. After spending time reading posts here and really focusing on my walk with Christ, I have come to realize that I have a choice, that even if I did not think it was affecting me and areas of my life that it is and that I can break this addiction.

My focus is four hours at a time, which will lead to a day at a time which will lead me to a week at a time. I am currently on day 6 to the good and have a focus on one week. Then I will begin to focus on week 2.

I usually tell people "one day at a time." but if you need to do it in four-hour blocks, go right ahead! For most of my first month, I'd promise myself each morning "I will not masturbate today." A long duration seems daunting, but anybody can do one day (or four hours, as the case may be). Now, it's a lot easier. I still get urges, of course, but I know that I'm not going to give in and fap. You can do this, too. May God bless your efforts with bountiful fruit.

  3. You've made a great decision man, doing this for Jesus is great. Your plan sounds like a possible solution but of course it's going to be extremely hard. You must believe in God, and YOURSELF. I've seen people do the same thing with smoking, every single person of them has failed but I believe you can do it. my number one tip to you is, Nofap will not change you it can't change you. Porn changes you and without it in your life you are able to become stronger and more mentally aware. This causes you to change, with this extra power you must be able to make change yourself. Basically don't count the days make the days count.

Thank you for the encouragement. I have found the four hour chunks of time to help with my eating. There have been times when I have wanted to eat something unhealthy and looked at the clock and saw that if I could wait one more hour, I would have made it another 4 hour block of time. If I can do that 4 times a day, I can stay under my calorie goal for the day. It has been fairly successful so I thought I would try to build off that success.
