embracing erotic thoughts is exactly how NOT to transmute your sexual energy. The whole idea of transmutation involves relocating the energy away from your sexual organs. Control your thoughts so that you minimize sexual thoughts as much as possible.. that will automatically begin to transmute the energy to other areas of your body, brain especially. You can also focus on breathing the energy up into your pineal gland.. youtube it.

  3. Im going to share my experience with you, I was also on reddit, particularly the nofap forum, and also the 'semen retention' forum. This was a very useful experience for me, it allowed me to go on my first ever 25 day streak and I learned to be accountable. I also learned from the semen retention forum that there were many benefits including sexual energy transmutation, including kaldini and tao.

I have not experienced kaldini (and for the time being I will choose not to, I am not ready and feel this is best suited to people who have gone at least 300-400 days of nofap and have their shit in order).

However one post which got to me was a guy from the semen retention community who mentioned Tao, and particularly someone by the name of Mantak Chia who is a sexual transmutation expert from Asia. At first I was dismissive as this guy actually recommends "fapping" and not ejaculating, hence creating sexual energy power within the body, which you can then use in other parts of your life, i.e. creative arts, music, work, whatever you feel like.

As mentioned at first I dismissed this, I mentioned to the user that this type of behavior is far too risky for those who are new to nofap, those of us treating like this like an addiction. The user agreed. Over the next week or so, what the user mentioned intrigued me, and I started doing more research though websites and articles and found a bunch of info from 'Mantak Chia' himself. Just to confirm, I have nothing against Mantak himself, however I find his easily accesible techniques online are quite simply for advanced practitioners, not for people new to nofap.

Anyhow long story short, I practiced some of his techniques and before I knew it... my 25 day streak was gone. Relapsed. And that relapse led to a half day binge... I was at my lowest. Brain fog! Drowsyness. I could not think.anymore. I lost all control of my mind.

What i learned from this experience is... these types of exercises can be detrimental to people who are early in their nofap journey. I think it is better for those early in nofap to let sexual transmutation of energy happens naturally. Organically. You may not even notice it at first. Maybe not for a few weeks. But refrain and support yourself through your experiences, slowly your mind will attach itself to other experiences. It could be reading a book. It could be the way you treat your family. It could be a new project. It could be cooking.

The word sexual is not just something you use when experiencing 'lust' or orgasmic feelings. Sexual energy is powerful. It can be used in the most simple of tasks.

    Sorry for boring you :)

    Hope you find this useful

You didn’t bore me it was actually very interesting and educational. I’m like you I can’t risk it and practice any form of self gratification otherwise it’s over for it.

I've yet to learn much about transmutation (very interested). but I am thinking that prioritizing reboot might mean to not do that, at least for the time being.

Hi! I found sexual energy work extremely helpful, once I was in a safe place in my re-wiring work. Where are you at in your journey? If you are in early stages, this kind of work might be tricky as it requires a more inward focus of energy, rather than an outward perspective type of focus. When our habits and compulsions are first denied access, they can rear their ugly heads to demand you come back... sometimes it's more helpful to gain some clarity, puts some safety measures in place, and gain some distance from the physical and mental tortures of early stage quitting PMO. Taoist Secrets of Cultivating Male Sexual Energy (attached) was a good resource for me when I did work on seminal retention and abstinence of orgasm. Happy to talk more, just DM me

I recall a licensed acupuncturist who has a doctorate in medical qigong from China saying Mantak Chias information leaves out a lot of details, there's this traditional thing where teachers hold back some information from their students until they are "ready" where they're kind of held in secret.

But you have to just understand things in context or else you might as well not read any of this. Just reading one book or getting a hold of some exercises online without understanding the system or even the historical context is very myopic. Did they have high speed internet with all this porn back in China when this stuff was developed? Think about it. Did they have access to teacher one on one? Reading the guys book is not having access to a teacher, even if you are able to take a workshop or two that isn't the same. It's a mass communication approach which precisely does NOT have the benefit of one on one instruction.

BTW the social aspect is important even with general social support in addiction recovery where there's no instruction, how much more important do you think doing something like this with instruction is needed?

I doubt people who go straight for the information on transmutation will have the patience to understand and practice the slower approaches. Qigong and yoga doesn't sound nearly as compelling as the word TRANSMUTATION. As far as the Taoist stuff, there's principles like regulating breath, posture and intent, jing transforms to qi, qi transforms to shen, the difference between purging, tonifying and regulating/circulating - but I see NOBODY talking about any of this in this forum. It's like talking about math without talking about addition, substraction, multiplication and division. Either nobody is really talking about it on here functionally in detail or nobody even knows or think about it.

It's one thing to sell and to be sold something, it's another thing to understand it. It starts looking like only a slightly more sophisticated version of the thinking behind "NoFap don't work - no benefit" because it's the simplistic logic of yes or no. HOW does it work is a more complex and comprehensive question that involves understanding, rather than blind experimentation with no regard to controlling anything. (variables)

Thank you for writing this. I've seen so many references to Mantak Chia and taoist energy practices on the various nofap-related forums and almost no one seems to understand that these are very advanced (potentially dangerous) techniques that need to be learned directly from a qualified teacher. There's also a weird desire that a lot of people have to forcefully open chakras and raise kundalini and things like that. It's so frustrating that people don't realize how harmful these things can be if they're not practiced correctly.

  14. I think embrace is a bit too extreme. Its more of finding out about yourself. Keep asking why. Thats how I discovered uncharted territories about myself. As far as the energy which folks see as “urges”, I go straight to the weights and start lifting. I believe that is the transmutation of the urge. Works for me, hope it works for you.

Transmute sexual energy by planning out your day, working out your plan and not engaging in edging.

Workout/ Martial arts is an awesome outlet.

    Meditation can really help.

Taoist Secrets of cultivating Male sexual energy is a great book in my opinion.

The breathing techniques mentioned in the book can be effectively practiced if you have experience in meditation.

The basic exercise can be practiced without having to arouse yourself. Here the breath is used as a means to channelize sexual energy into vital force or "chi".

This is a very valuable resource in my opinion.
