How do you all personally deal with depression

    Ive had to deal with depression a lot in my life. And i had a mental disorder about more than a year ago and trying to recover from that threw me in the worst depression I've had in my life. And during that time i had fallen as a person so badly.

    And I've noticed everytime i get depressed lately my productivity just drops. And before when i used to get depressed my mind would tell me to go watch porn Itll feel better.

    Either way I've been trying to recover as a person. But every time depression comes back i just go back to my bad ways of doing nothing all day and feeling sorry for myself. Im even scared what am i going to do when i flatline.

    I've actually found out that a great cure for depression that some people may not know is exercise but besides that what do you guys do to fight the depression and hopelessness?

    It’s helpful to talk to someone you trust about what’s going on in your head. Problem is that most of us are not comfortable doing that so we continue to hold it in, which makes it so much worse.

    Try to keep busy all time
    Listen music loudly
    Try to learn new things #whatever_keep_busy
    If everything fails,take a bike do a ride.
    This is how I fighting.

    1. Self help books (I read the 1st one and going to read others)
    No more mr. Nice guy
    The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck
    Not nice
    The power of now
    ...

    2. Exercise regularly (choose some sport(s) you like)

    3. Daily schedule (organise your day)

    4. Healthy eating + vitamins

    5. Mindfulness exercises and meditation (headspace app to begin with for example)

    6. Cold showers

    7. Professional help (if possible/severe case)

    The thing is it’s all in our head - depression, fears, etc. So it’s all because of our thoughts. Try to change your thoughts, how you think in different situations, how you react by training your brain (points 1 to 7), getting out of your comfort zone and building up yourself confidence.
    Have you ever seen depressed little children? ;)
