Frequent Masturbation & Dirty Thoughts

  1. Hey everyone, I'm new here.

    I'm currently 18, bi and have been secretly masturbating since I was 11-12. At times this can go really out of control and end up doing it 2-3 per week or even twice a day in some circumstances.

    I wanted to stop this for so long but the problem is, I have nothing to do, I'll be bored which eventually leads me to masturbate. When I have something to do (e.g. concentrating on education), I end up stopping myself from masturbating.

    Since the lockdown has occurred, my urges has gone completely out of control, even after masturbation I have so much urges to do it again. Before the pandemic I managed to stop myself from masturbation for at least 2-3 months up until lockdown occurred.

    Currently I have failed to control my urges, once again after stopping myself from masturbating for 3-4 days because, again, I'm bored to death.

    I tried to following things:
    -Work out/Exercise (Currently have sore arms so I can't lift weights right now)
    -Playing video games (all games now became boring)
    -Trying to keep myself occupied by doing something

    Nothing works long-term, I eventually give up and result into going back to masturbation.

    meditation or reading books is my preferred way to fight of urges :)

    Same here, lockdown is being a pain. I hurt my wrist so no excersing, games bored I have so many but have no interest in them, watched to many movies bored, started watching series even some anime for the heck of it seems to work for now. Try to get a hobby, I normally try to do city photography. Think I yesterday I suggested someone to build a model kit, so actually going to try it myself. Just bought 2 kits and some paint.
    Keeping yourself busy is lot harder then it sounds, just need to find the thing that gets you hooked, could be painting, making music, etc. Maybe try to step out of your comfort zone, maybe you can find something that you never knew you liked or had a slight interest but never tried. Not easy, working on it myself.

    Yeah I feel your pain as well. I mean if you only hurt your wrist you could some workouts that concentrating on legs. I could try that too.

    I’ve got like 200+ games, they all bore me now since I’ve completed the at least once or twice and new games aren’t all interesting for me. Same goes for movies and TV shows.

    The thing is, I don’t know what I should get into, I used to practice coding but that got me bored, I tried engaging more socially with 8 of my friends but I lose interest in talking them on social media due to long waiting for replies.

    Photography sounds nice, I wanted to get into it, in fact I got a great grade for it back at school which is a B. But I’m not sure what to concentrate my photography on.

    Thanks for the suggestions, you both kind of motivated me and offered some things to do.

    Become aware of your hands.
    Whatever you do, search for P, Masturbate, is with your hands.
    Attain a higher consciousness with your hands, understand what your physical movements of your hands will lead to.

  6. I wish I had any consciousness at all when it comes to this. When the urge happens and it’ll break me, my consciousness goes to some next place of my body.

    True. But diverting that attention is what all of us want to learn. I know it ain’t easy, but Once we do, we will No longer be slaves to PMO.

    I mostly do city photography as I can take different subject. Sometimes it is just about buildings and areas, other times it's about bridges lately I'm photographing bikes new ones or old and abandoned ones. If your a extrovert person and easy talk to people you can ask if you can photograph them for example. I'm a bit of introvert but sometimes I ask people if could photograph their pets/dogs or even tattoos.

  9. I’m too introvert, I won’t be able to do that. But thanks for the suggestion. I probably just do landscapes of buildings & scenery.

    1. First of all, It's not that you are bored and have nothing to do. You just procrastinate a lot. You don't want to do anything except to masturbate and feel good.
    2. Which brings us to our 2nd point. You don't feel good so you decide to masturbate. But you never realised that it's masturbation and porn because of whom you never felt good
    3. Try watching anime :- My suggestion - Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood
    4. Don't blame lockdown for this. This is just your brain's cope up method to escape from NoFap. I started my real NoFap on 25 may and today I have reached 50+ days. All during lockdown only.

    Not only that, I’m depressed and feel lonely which is another trigger for me. I used to be reliant on porn but not anymore, just the thoughts.

    I find Anime to make uninteresting which leads me to cutting it off.

    It's a loophole. You watch porn to release stress but porm give you even more stress and guilt. And then same process keeps on repeating again and again. When you will stop making excuses like depression and booringness, you will make it easily. I also remember when I was depressed, I found everything boring music, movies, games everything. Except 3 things PORN, STUDYING AND TAKING TO PEOPLE WHOM YOU CAN TRUST. I literally used to study for 8 hrs when I was depressed because I didn't wanted to feel useless and feel like I'm wasting my time.

    I understand you struggle. Check out sexual addiction recovery. There are multiple different groups that all focus a little differently. I'm in SA and it's the closest too a core group like AA. My wife does not understand that active recovery is a very small part of overall success. Connection with others in recovery is the key. It's not a end all, be all approach but it has taken the addiction from having power over me to me having the power over it, most off the time.
