I’m a 21 y.o. nursing student. I live in iran where having sex or even dating before marriage is illegal (not that no one does it, but its hard; at least for me). I’m good at university and I believe i can be great if i get my head off masturbation; Or at least do it less. I’m sick of myself and i need help. I’ve been doing it for 8 9 years now. I’m not a porn addict or something. I watch porn rarely but i still masturbate, Using pictures and short gifs from twitter and stuff like that. If any of you could help me, i mean if you have knowledge or experience about how to quit it without dating or having sex i’d really appreciate hearing about them.

What you are describing is a normal youth with normal problems. I would not worry if I were you. A lot of people your age are very often dreaming more of girls and masturbation than paying attention in class. I was about thirteen when I started masturbating and it took some years before I had actual sex with a girl. And I couldn't concentrate in class either. Nothing wrong with masturbating, most people do it. Most people enjoy it and leave it behind when they meet a woman and have regular sex with her.

You say that you watch porn rarely. I'm glad to hear. For young people (and older, and much older) porn can be very addictive. My problems at least started with the beginning of porn on the Internet.

What I know of Iran, you have much more urgent issues. I hope you'll pass your exams and become a qualified nurse. It's beautiful job, believe me, I've been one for a long time.

    Good luck,
    Mark.

Well for breaking the addiction you have to change your lifestyle to better. Plan things more, workout more, get up earlier, know you have a problem and stop tuching yourself at all.. I mean that is just some suggestions. But you need to know what works for you best.
