I am 25 and french (sorry for my english ) and I have some serious DE. I started dating girls lately (in my opinion) when I was 24 and I discovered my problem 8 month ago. I since met 3 girls with who I had intercourse attempt but every time it failed due to my DE, even if all these 3 girls were very pretty for me. That mean that I'm still virgin in some way as I never could penetrate any of the 3 girls. It's only after the 7th attempt (2 weeks ago) I started to understand that I have a serious problem and I decided to see a generalist doctor. I was very sad and desparate to take with decision. I was not honest with the doctor as I didn't give him all the information about my problem and I hide some very key point so he logically couldn't help me and understand my case instead of saying "its psychological". I wasn't honest with myself at this moment and I just wanted to hear that it could be due to a medical reason but the doctor was very clear and explain me that at my age it's very rare to have DE for medical reason at 25 (but still possible btw). At this moment I was dating 2 girls at the same time (no judgement needed ) and I knew later in the week I will sleep again with one of them so I just ask him to prescribe me a kind of vi*gra. Even with vi*gra it was not enough to have an hard erection during my 8th attempt and it was at this moment I decided to really handle this situation. I first started to read some generic medical forum to find any tips or experience similar to mine and I randomly find the TED talk "The great porn experiment" from Gary Wilson. At this moment I really understood the origin of my problem, it was a release as I didn't really understand what was my issue before this video. Next I continue to search information about that and then I found this website. I'm know very happy to see that this issue is known and that solutions exists. I'm not addicted to porn, to be honest I didn't watch more that 10 porn video in my entire life. But I masturbate on facebook/instagram photos 3 or 4 times a week. Since I wasn't interested by girls 1 or 2 years ago I take the habit to get sexual pleasure by myself. Now I still have sexual attirance on women but when things get serious and it's time to have sexual intercourse I loose all my virility. It's difficult to live with that as I already lost 2 girlfriend because (or partially) of that, of course most of the girls will not speak easily about that but its obvious that it destroy all the attirance the girl can have on me. I am currently dating a girl for 3 month now and we already had 3 sex attempt (Failed obviously). I still don't know if I will tell her about my issue, I think its better to be honest. I am now on a 3 week streak without M. I already go through a no libido period of 1 and a half week, it was very strange. For the moment I resist easily to not masturbate, I am very motivated to win this battle because It's really time for me to start a strong relationship, but for that I have to be able to have intercourse. ED it's really connected with porn excees and masturbation excess , but it's not your case Can i advise you to have another medical consult ? Because , i find strange you have ED without porn/ hentai. With only 3-4 masturbation per week. Maybe you have another problem non connected to porn . I think about a psychological fear of your first time. So i don't think you should quit your attempts to have sex, but maybe trying to see a therapist, a psychological help, find a qualified specialist .
You right it was a flatline, it's one of a lot of things I discovered here Maybe you right but I really don't feel any fear or anxiety during my attempt (ok for the first attempt). It was always with very nice girls that put absolutely no pressure on me and who was a lot more experienced than me about this. These attempts was always with sentimental attraction. For sure I will continue trying to have sex with my current girlfriend. As I read rebooting is important but Rewire is also needed so I will do both.
Last night I had my 9th sex attempt and the 4th with my current gf. I already see some improvement on my erection after 3 weeks of no MO (as I dont use P). I still say attempt because it was still difficult to put the condom as I wasn't hard enough. I asked her to put it because it helps me to maintain a good erection but she failed and then it's was too late I think. I was really excited and I think the rewiring is on the good way.
