Real life treatment?

  1. Hey everyone. This is a post about needing Real Life Treatment because I've been struggling with this issue far to long. I feel my will power isn't what it used to be and honestly I miss it allot. I feel this upper confidence but its more like I lost more of my lower self esteem. I can tell because Its hard for me to loose weight lately and I'm staggering around 150 pounds right now. It will shoot to 154 and hen drop to 150 again. I have been doing cardio and ab's lately and I'm not seeing much of a difference like I used to. I occasionally masturbate and I loose tough of time because I feel time is running away from me.. I feel like I've lost a majority of friends because of this habit along the lines...

    I'm just wondering if this is the time I need real life treatment? Like Therapy? Rehab? Psychiatrist? I'm nervous as to telling my parents or anyone because I know they frown upon it and to tell them I suffer from depression and this addiction is kind of rough..I'm a 28 year old guy. I think I'm very attractive but I don't have the "mojo" "Charisma" "Esteem" anymore for woman. I'm at a loss here because my life isn't moving forward. I'm not really sure what action to take. My habits are getting better but this addiction isn't...
     
  2. Therapy is a good option, especially if you want to regain your self confidence and treat issues underlying your addiction. Therapy has helped me to see that I have a lot of issues, some caused by this addiction, but also some inherent characteristics and it has shown that my life is totally imbalanced.

    If you do, seek out a therapist who specialises in sex and porn addiction as they are most suited to helping you.

    First if you are trying to lose/maintain weight cardio is not the way to do it. Strength training with good nutrition will do it.

    Second, if you feel you need therapy, you might. But try a reboot--no porn or jerking off for 90 days. During this time stay busy, do a hobby, learn a skill etc.

  5. I believe Saiyan's can be real. Heating body temperature under circumstances is proven in the past. Balancing chi flow and the way your body moves makes the slightest difference in every day life. By the way I need that man. Lol

    Personally my experience with therapy was detrimental. I met with a really renowned CSAT (trained in sexual addiction). He got me on this thinking train that my past trauma causes me to act out. I readily accepted that, who doesn't love a good cop-out? That is what they are trained to do. In an effort to find "answers" they often provide excuses. I have been sober for over 5 years. I have some childhood trauma. I haven't really dealt with it, I haven't felt like I need to. It certainly isn't the reason I acted out or sought our pornography.

    The truth is that nothing in my past makes me do what I do. 'm not saying our past isn't important, just that it isn't necessarily connected to the decisions we are making today (meaning that you can have unresolved stuff in your past and still move forward and be who you want to be). And there are many men with way bigger trauma than me that never made the choices I made.

    You need to find someone that will help you be accountable for what you think, say, and do. I found a Coach who specializes in sex addiction. My experience with the 2 are night are day. Coaching helped me find true lasting peace.
