Porn Ads

I don't use 9gag and now after what you said I think I will avoid it!
I am not that tech privy so I don't know how cookies work or if your browser or search engine is selling your info. But ad customization is something I have quite seen, you do get ads based on what you search.

While I am one of the self proclaimed conspiracy gurus on this forum , I think this is probably a case of an automatic algorithm something on the lines if you visit any website with a sexual term such as "fap" it assumes you are visiting P so it promotes more of it to you.

Anyway it's always better to use search engines other than google, and go as anonymous as you can with your browser.

 

I wouldn't be surprised at all if its intentional. It's scummy as fuck but a very smart business move.

 

Well I think it's like @SoaringEagle said: Due searching after Nofap and similar terms you now get porn ads.

But the conspiracy theorist in me says it's connected to the porn industry and that they want to weaken the NoFap community. Which may be possible, just look at the header of this site, saying "Defend NoFap and Alex against the porn industry and its allies". The porn industry noticed that this site and we are here. And they don't want us. And don't want that people are waking up from their "porn paradise".
