I don't see any difference after 30 days of nofap

Hello, so I've completely abandoned watching porn, masturbating, having erotic fantasies or anything else for 33 days now aaaaand... I can't feel any difference at all. As far as I am concerned nofap helps people a lot, but it probably just doesn't work for me. This so called "addiction" is probably for people that masturbate for 3 times a day, but I used to do it for 2-3 times in a week, that's it.

To be honest, I am just kind of scared of going on with that. It just doesn't really make sense. There are some evidence that dropping it is good, but I couldn't find any info on any experiments with people that oppositely pick up masturbating.

All that stuff just seems not very healthy to me and people just tend to believe that it was abandoning porn that helped them, but I think they just got stronger and that's it. I would really like to hear your opinions on that. Maybe it is better to masturbate 1 time in a week or I should go on without masturbating. Thank you for your time.

You weren't addicted. You just answered your own question.

But I will say this. If you retained your seed for 33 days and felt nothing, you must have been doing something else to fuck with your dopamine receptors or lower your testosterone levels. Your post lacks information, what did you do in them 30 days while abstaining?

Either way, it doesn't matter. After 7/8 days of retaining, your testosterone spikes. There's no way you didn't feel that and then the drop in mood (flat line) that comes afterwards. Addicted or not, this is a biological reaction all men experience, it's why athletes don't have sex 7 days before a fight/race etc.

I call BS on at least some of your post mate, prove me wrong.

Also around the 30/35 day mark is where the real benefits start to show, if done correctly I may add.

This is like when someone who has a couple of glasses of wine per week or a few beers at the weekend does "Dry January" and they see no difference, there's no reason why they would. If you're not doing something in excess or to the point of compulsion then dropping it isn't going to do much for you. Saying "this so called addiction" is also pretty disrespectful and unnecessary but letting that slide, if you feel it's not hindering you then great, carry on, I would still advise against viewing any kind of porn though.

One thing I do find surprising though is how at the age of 16 you've seemingly found it so easy, when I was 16 my libido was out of control but maybe not everyone is like that. I kind of wish mine hadn't been as I may not have found myself in this mess now.

I just never happened to find it that pleasant. Masturbating is kind of boring for me. People really are different, huh.
P.S. by saying "this so called addiction" I didn't mean to harm anyone. I just can't understand why people can't do it for a week, when I did it easily for a month. Guess I am lucky then.

First, thanks for your complex reply. Actually, now that I think about it I felt really fucked up recently, but I didn't realize it could have been because of not masturbating. Currently I am studying in a very hard school and I am always very exhausted and I thought that's why I feel so bad. But probably it is really the nofap thing, because the amount of work I do is the same as it was before, however the last week I felt really depressed all the time.
The main question is do you think I should go on with NoFap if I didn't have an addiction?

  7. I was five months in total abstinence.
After the fourth month nothing changes (in my experience).

The first three months I felt some changes like increased excitement, libido and energy.

But after four months it had the opposite effect: I began to have insomnia. And everything went quiet.

So I decided to go back to regular PMO.

Then why have you returned to nofap and stopped doing it for three days now? I'm confused. Your story doesn't check out. Your counter shows three days NoFap. Is it accurate or have you started the counter while returning to PMO?

Any positive changes related to the brain takes months if not years.
It is a lifestyle not a cure.

I’m not an addict. What happens if I “reboot?”

If you're not an addict, why are you here? If you are not an addict, rebooting will shift you into thinking healthy thoughts about women and sex. That's not a bad thing. As an example. women aren't just to "get laid". They are human beings with feelings and emotions. Porn changes your thinking about women and sex.

  14. I will probably leave here. Or it's likely that the moderators will kick me out in some time.

I don't see anything productive about this site my dear friend. This site is not for me. Definitely not.

It is possible that this site will be useful to you. But it is not my case.
I understand your problem. I just wish you could have the sexual and emotional life you want with your partner (I understand you had prostate cancer and surgery).

In my case this place is not for me. I have left pornography little by little but it has not been thanks to this site. This site is negative in that sense because here you remember practically every day that pornography exists.

It seems to me that over the years there should be other types of alternatives for addicts. This way people will stop using these forums.

This place is nothing but a mine of dollars for its owners.
