Hi! I'm a 30-something person looking to get a little more self-control over myself. The reason why I say a little more is because I'm actually quite good at self-control in most areas of my life, but not when it comes to PMO. Although I watch different types of porn, my arch enemy is hentai. Despite having an intense hatred of anime, I still check out hentai A LOT. I'm trying my best to abstain, but hopefully I can benefit from being around others who understand.

Hi ! The best way to start is looking for the moments where you seek this addiction, and then create a plan to help you avoid that result of seeing porn, of course is not as easy of saying it, but you can start there and create a plan to restore control in that situations. Good luck !

Hey mostaware, welcome to here! I am glad you joined us :)

I used the FASTER scale to track my relapses and to better understand what was causing them.

Im new to the forum so I cant put the link to it in this post, I guess, but if you look up "Faster scale" and click on the "F.a.s.t.e.r. Relapse Awareness Scale" link from puredesire, it takes you to the pdf I used to understand and impliment the faster scale.

Good luck and I hope to see you around here again :)

    Welcome
Please, start studying carefully what's happening in your mind > https://oceanrecoverycentre.com/2016/07/the-ultimate-guide-to-overcoming-internet-porn-addiction/

First time without porn will be stressful , but if you resist , in some months you will feel reborn.

If the first times a person relapse easly, it's okay.
The streaks becomes even longer , day by day.
Don't porn anymore, it's better to struggle and at the last to relapse than to look at porn.
No more instagram pictures of models. No more erotic imagines , erotic stories or erotic asmr.
If you experience ''flatline'' and low libido , resist.

We should improve in all area of our life, just being dissatisfied or stressed makes us relapse.

An effective weapon to overcome urges and thoughts : mindfulness.
The brain will try to win you and to get some triggers for the seek of dopamine. Resist
