    Hello everyone,

What can I say.. Porn has been/is a big influence in my life. I'm 27 years old and I'm watching porn since I was 13/14 years old. All trough watching free porn, I always thought.. well atleast it's free. I wouldn't buy in, into all those advertisements. But this year was different. I decided to take a look at JerkMate.. and that was a big mistake. Till this day I still go to it and have deleted the account countless times, but always came back. I've met honestly great beautiful girls and I really like(d) it. It gave me more pleasure then porn and this became like the stronger version of porn for me. But this has gotten out of controle in a big way. I have spent way too much money on the site..

So next to the point that I'm already addicted to porn (that's something I already hate)
now I have also lost more than 3K if not almost 4K. And even now after realizing this absurd amount I have spent, I still want to be with some girls I have met there.. like if I were absurdly rich, I would love to spent it there..

And being there online with them isn't always sexual, many times I just loved to talk with them, getting to know them and showing real interest.

I know that I get myself in big trouble with this, and I absolutely need to stop. I do want to warn everybody else who's battling porn.. don't start with jerkmate (or relatable websites).. I always thought I would never be like that, and here I am 3-4K lighter in my bank account....I want to say I will quit, but I feel a little bit hopeless..

I just want to share this: porn is pure toxic, and it will destroy you, because it takes controle over you and I am just another example.

Spending that sort of money on long-distance prostitutes? C'mon man.

Seems that you're not like you either. You've been tricked. Those chicks have zero interest in you. Stop simping.

I know bro, I know. It's all about money. I never thought I would give in to this, that's why I share it, because I did. And like me 1000's of others as well..:/

Is it because you don't believe you could get them irl?

That surely has something to do with it yes.

  8. A lot of people may not understand the appeal but the personal nature of cam sites can definitely be addictive. I emphasise with you bro, I’m addicted to escorts so I know what it’s like to waste a tonne of money on people who don’t really give a damn about you.

I’m going to move this to the porn addiction section for you man, good luck quitting your addiction.

First of all thanks for sharing. It takes a certain amount of humility and that is good. Don't listen to Yo stop simping, cmon' long distance, IRL? guys like Anti Hero. He's obviously here because he's a super stud right? You were vulnerable, gave into temptation and it consumed you. I've been into porn for 20 years! BUT it's calmed down from 3x's a day to eh maybe once a month when I get super nostalgic/lonely. The cliches' work though. Exercise, eat right, meditate, work on life goals. Shoot even cleaning the house. Good luck bro and don't be so hard on yourself. It'd be best not to spend more money on it but you already know that.

Never had any experience with cam girls, but did have with OnlyFans.

So, a 'sponsored' post came up on Instagram on a beautiful girl, I clicked 'follow', then some months later she started posting linktrees to OF and TikTok. I registered, and since her content was very tasteful but also highly erotic I decided to subscribe for 3 months. It was interesting to check it out, but lost interest about a month or so in and haven't went back.

In both cases with OF and camgirls, they rely on you to keep paying for extra content. In my case, not the worst 15 - 20 dollars I spent, but definitely not an investment to pursue into the future.

  11. I'm glad I never got into it, since the lines between reality and camming interactively is closer and more easily blurred than chatting by text, which is why I believe I always stuck with chatting (another element is the disposability) I would imagine it is a much more powerful pull.

This just makes me think of two things: Cross-addiction and the need for IRL support.

There's a 12 Step program called Debtors Anonymous, and it's not the only one that has to do with money. In this case the porn related behavior is clearly related to compulsive spending, and is kind of a cousin to gambling in a way - at least in so far as when a guy might have hopes of meeting the cam girl some day.

Now as far as the second point, let me point this out guys: If your support system is only this forum or some kind of text communication, and your addiction is in high def video, real-time interactive, isn't there good reason for the addiction to be stronger than the support for recovery??

This is why I think we need IRL meetings and not be dragging our foot if the area has reopened. And yes, there may even be women who are attractive if it's a co-ed meeting, but you're not going to MO there in the room and also they're talking about having this issue so everyone knows that's pretty much off limit in that context. Rather than all offering sexual stimulation it's also the exact opposite in that context, and at least before things shut down there was mens only meetings, certainly much more so than groups that doesn't have to do with sexual addiction for obvious reasons.
