SR and intellectual abilities?

There is a quite a lot on the topics SR and attention of girls, SR and physical power, SR and discipline, SR and spirituality etc.

It would be interesting to find something about how SR relates to intellectual abilities. Like inspirational stories of people who perhaps struggled with studying but managed to achieve a goal that they/society tought they couldn't achieve, by being disciplined with SR etc. Be it learning a new language or subject etc.
Just curious to find resources/blogs/books about something related to this.

I'm wondering though if those who practiced it were interesed in studying and books anyway. Isn't that like the shaolin monks who seek physical benefits like strength/power and spiritual benefits?

Sorry I'm on my phone and can't look into it as I'd like.
Now that I think about it.. Exactly, those great minds of old. They had no access to pornography and also O. way less as a result I'd imagine.

But with those it's easy to say or to assume atleast that they were geniuses anyway. I would be interested to hear about 'ordinary people' who since starting SR noticed better results be it in college, uni or self studying a language for example.
