Just a confession. I need help. I have lately thought about porn quite a bit. It kind of snuck up on me; the first 90 days or more of porn free was easy.

The last 15 days or so I’m tempted to go back to my old ways. It’s been pretty tough.

Just need a place to vent. I remember porn being so enjoyable to watch— something I didn’t feel since my big quit in late March/ April.

  2. (There's a summary at the end of my dumb comment, I just want to make an interesting analogy and improve my English writing but fellas, I have no idea at all though, haha)

Gordie, still, this gigantic and vicious monster hasn't been defeated, as a noble warrior, on his journey to conquer the devil, has just started walking on a pathway, despite overcoming numerous obstacles within 4 months.

Gordie, you musn't be frail, instead, you must develop thick skin and be persistent, under the pressure of evil voice of Dark Mages convincing you to a dark fantasy world, where you decided to leave behind and walk on a journey to save the world as a hero named Gordie.

Do not be manipulated by those voice (your brain is uncomfortable by your significant changes, therefore it generates a flood of flashbacks and past pleasure, so that once again, it will turn you to a slave. Gordie, please be brave, don't listen and mindlessly follow that voice of your brain begging).

To save this breathtakingly beautiful world, you as a hero need to be fearless and keep fighting, 365 days is now your milestone, there must be more milestones after reaching to 365 days, but at least, don't ever give up.

    You can make this!

TL/DR: Your brain is trying to be pleasurable and not feel attacked, therefore it will never stop convincing you to be back to old, high-stimulating and artificial habit (PMO), you need to overcome this stage and reach to the further stages, 365 days, then 1 year, 2 year, 6 years and beyond the infinity.

  3. Don't. You've walked a long way, and you can't give up now. Your mind remembers porn as better than it actually was. It was depressing, it was enslaving, it anesthetized you to the real world.
Remember how hard has been reaching this point. Remember all the pain, all the urges. Ask yourself if that's what you want to go through again.
Be strong. The deceptions will pass.

Hey man. I was there and I want to encourage you to continue with your fight.

When I started with the journey it was similar to you. First few months was like absolutely easy. But then those urges started again and I felt back. And it really sucked. It took be back to the old miserable place. Short moment of pleasure and then? An empty dark world with no joy. It was like being in coma.

You don't want to go back. It just doesnt worth it. It's even not as good as you remember it. It's only your brain trying to get back to the old familiar stereotype in which it felt safe and comfortable.

But you have to choice if you want to spend your life in comfortable trap as a slave of your urges, or if you want to take your life back and move forward.

You know which way you need to choose.

    Stay strong.

Did you had PIED ? Its probably because your libido is coming back to life and you start to be horny again, which is a very good sign. Use this energy to start fliring and dating with real woman

Going through the same here, had a real long easy streak but recently got the urges back. Which I should be taking as a good sign I guess.

Thanks for the responses, it helps to get a little perspective. It’s funny how the addicted mind lies to you to get what it wants.

To be honest, if I had to hedge my bets, I don’t think I would have relapsed, but I just needed to let off the air: my mind remembers porn being good and fun. 3 months ago this wasn’t the case.

Reading some of these responses has reminded me of how I felt about porn the day I decided to quit: pointless, empty, stupid, unhealthy, gross.

    Thanks.

    Congratulations on 90+ days reboot!

Same story, and I've been here before. For many of us the real fight begins after the reboot, I think.

We may have won the battle, but not the war.

Remember we're on the verge of a breakthrough. Porn addiction is going all out to win us back over.

Now is the time to sharpen our tools, plan a strategy to rewire and prepare for another 90 days of recovery.

May we keep standing against the wind with a strong spine and an open heart.

Yea, if your urges are feeling stronger, then your resistance is working. Just them pass, starve those urges to death. And just go for a run. Running releases some tension

You may also want to go back to the drawing board for your key motivations.

That is to say, reinvestigate what you used porn for and see if those underlying issues are still present.

Was porn a way to escape boredom? If so, do you now have enough of an active lifestyle?
Or was it a means to forget loneliness? If the past few months, how have relationships and interactions with loved ones and strangers gone for you?

Yes it seems urges can come back to us even in the best of times. However, if you have 15 days of urges, I would hazard a guess there is still at least one issue aside from porn that deep down you would like to fix.
