I started p when I was 12. Started pmo at the age of 15.

Oh, how strange. I always imagined you were tall Adam. Probably because you looked thin to me your picture (which you used to have as your avatar). What a tragedy you started so early with this shit, though.

P - first found older brother's magazine when I was 11 or so (naked woman and man lying on beach - I vividly remember - the man seemed more interesting to me); found occasional other mags over the years; bought my own P heavily in 20s (quitting and starting again multiple times for years)- then became hooked on Internet porn and videos late 30s-40s (same quitting and starting). From 40-48, I stopped quitting and dived into PMO full force. Started to want to come out of it again at 48 yo.
Never had an accountability support group till this - have now been free of P or M or O, as shown on the counter below. Broke my 2nd longest streak of 40 days (from many years back), and now am looking to break my longest PMO free streak of 200 days from when I was 23 yo.

 

Do you have PIED?

 

Never really had full PIED, but then my partner and I used to watch porn while having sex, and that became a crutch - we also had different sexual preferences, so the ED sometime set in (only temporarily) when not engaging in my preferred kind of sex - but the porn was there, too, so that helped for me. Now, I'm basically seeking to live without genital sex and to be PMO free as well. So, it's basically for spiritual reasons I am going through recovery, not for PEID or anything else. Actually, PMO has only ever been a problem for me for moral and spiritual reasons. I never had other ill effects. Never had brain fog - I graduated summa cum laude (no pun intended) from college and grad school. PMO actually helped me to relax - I don't think I could have quit while under the pressure of studies. I also got good jobs in my life, etc. Sure, PMO makes me sleepy, but only in the way that sex makes you sleepy, too - I got over it. However, PMO was a way I used to medicate some insecurity issues that I had - which prolonged my insecurity issues since I never faced them any other way.
