Precum has nothing to do with the prostate gland. It occurs when there is sexual arousal and it oozes from the urethra. It is primarily produced by the bulbourethral glands (Cowper's glands), with the glands of Littré (the mucus-secreting urethral glands) also contributing.
If it thick like jelly? If so you are having semenal leakage from your prostate and it's not the same as an ejaculation with muscle contractions that force it out and give you pleasure. So I'm short it gets released into your urinary track until the pressure of your urine pushes it out. I had them a couple of inches long before. Used to freak me out. Lol
