Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Deleted Account, Apr 25, 2022.

  1. Since I turned 18 I created accounts on Chaturbate and Camsoda to watch shows, my addiction is really bad because I watch shows everyday. Today (04/25/2022) I tried to fight my urges but I was to weak and I gave in. I cant take it anymore. I Hate the fact that every morning I get up early just to watch a camgirl's show. Please give me advice.

Try to remember that they are all versed in the art of "sex, lies and rinsing guys" and they couldn't care less if they leave you financially and morally bankrupt through feeding your addiction. They have a flair for performance, charisma and deception. It's how the earn their money. If you keep that in mind, it should go a long way in enabling you to cure your camgirl addiction.

  3. Try not to judge or condemn yourself too much, instead focus on learning strategies. In the beginning you may need some kind of blocker, but don't rely on that long term - use the time to work on your mind towards the point where you don't need it. But for now if you can lock yourself out you can have some relief to begin to clear your head.

  4. I had a hard hit of reality when I was watching a show a few nights ago. I realized these camgirls are sirens and I keep coming back to them, it's like cyber sex addiction

  5. Thanks for the advice. I am slowly getting my mind off of camgirls and I am spending more time talking to my friends. I am trying to fight these urges by getting back into virtual machines and computer stuff as a hobby

you should try to scheduke your days in a way that you do not have time to watch it, go for a walk next time you feel like watching or something. I have been where you are now and I know it is tough. just keep going at it and eventually you should find strategies that work!

  7. - Stop giving them money. They don't care about you. The only one thing is: your money!
    - Delete your accounts on the websites.
    - You need other activities , when the cam shows start. I prefer outdoor(fitness, focus on your goals etc.) Try to avoid gadgets which acess to these websites.
    - The most important: FOMO! Yes, don't think that you actually missing something. It's absolutely not.

  8. I can relate to your situation because like you I fell into a cam site addiction with a few girls. I used to use a separate credit card exclusively for the cam sites, so I could easily tell how much I spent on those sites. I knew any payment to that one card was for cam girls. One day after a particularly expensive session, I filtered for all the payments to that credit card over a 2 year span, and found I spent between $4K - $5K per year. That was a real wake up call because I just sat there and thought, of all the things I could have better spent $8K- $10K on or just saved it into my bank account.

I took the following steps and they worked for me:
    1. Always keep in mind the girls on those sites don't like you, they like your money.
    2. Put a post it note on my computer with $5000 per year written on it. When I thought about going back to a cam site I would think about #1 and look at that post it note and think of all the better things I could spend that money on.
    3. I changed my password to the cam site to some sort of thing I would never remember. It was literally random words and numbers I would never remember.
    4. I change my e-mail account on the cam site to some fake e-mail address. This way if I tried to reset my password the cam site would send an e-mail out into nowhere and I would never receive the e-mail to reset the password.
    5. When i really got the urge to go back to the cam sites, in addition to steps 1 and 2, I would look at the credit card online and enjoy the $0.00 balance and just think, You'll never get any more money from me.

    I fully admit the following:
    1. These steps may not work for everyone but they worked for me. I also have to admit that at the time I quit I felt like I had finally hit rock bottom. Since I made that decision to quit cam sites, I have not been back to one since Sept 2, 2021.
    2. There are easy work arounds from my steps, like creating a new account, but I considered not taking that step as part of my recovery.

I'm addicted to cam girls since 2014 and can't free myself from it. My biggest achievement is that I didn't spend money since ~end of 2020 and only visit the sites without an account or only with unregistered throw away accounts. You see I don't do very well, I hate how accessible those sites are.
Thanks guys for the tips here. Maybe I can contribute how I managed the money thing.
    1. I had concerns that I was so careless to have an account on that site with my credit card info. I hope DSGVO etc. will solve this but in general the internet does not "forget" anything.
    2. I switched to more anonymous ways of payment in form of crypto currencies and fortunately the last years the transaction costs raised and made it unusable.
    3. I deleted and created new accounts so often over the years that I lost "connection" with the girls and was a nobody to them. They clearly didn't give a fuck about some unknown account without prove that they can earn money with it.
    4. I deleted my insane collection of private show recordings. I hate the thought of how much time and money I would have to spend to get something like that back, it feels impossible and that is good so.
Basically the above points describe how my cam site past is kind of unrecoverable messed up. I accepted that this past is over and any attempt to build it up again would destroy the rest of my life.
Roaming still around on cam sites without being a paying member is depressing. The girls couldn't care less. I don't get why it is still so impossible for me to stay away. Next step is that I search for therapy.

Have you tried blocking these websites? That could be a good first step

I once told a cam girl that I was addicted and couldn't stop, she said that she could help me if I took her in private LOL.

Another one I remember I was talking with and tipping for like an hour but then my internet died. I was only gone for two minutes and then when I came back she messaged saying "hi bb, how are you today?"

Some of the girls on there might be out of this world hot but you'll never find happiness there, only misery.

  13. Their beauty won't last forever. Most of the time you can also see that their character is an emptiness and they use you to push their ego. Don't fall for that. Invest the money in yourself. ;)

    EDIT: Camgirls in a nutshell

  14. There's also some guy that was making fun of his daughter by dressing up and posing like her, I don't think she was a camgirl but was trying to get attention for sure.

  15. Thank you for the advice. Last night I watched a show on camsoda and after I ejaculated I felt sick to my stomach. Talking to my online friends has helped me a little bit keeping my mind off of the camgirls

Nah, I never went that far. Plus that particular girl didn't even attempt to hide that she was a total hustler. Some are better at selling the illusion than others.

Honestly I think you should do both. I find that blocking websites to be very effective

There's a lot of good advice in past threads about webcams. I'm totally stuck in same situation. Its sex mixed with emotional companionship, & I think even the visuals of sexy women in these bright little boxes is similar to gamblers staring at slot machine. I basically tried to intentionally move my addiction to normal porn just to stop throwing my money away. (Which is obviously not recommended just became a necessity for me). Good luck to you man. I find if I can make it 2 or 3 days without, that I'm a lot happier & my brain functions better & sleep better, so theres hope for me I think. But theres a lot of helpful people on here who have overcome this.

  20. Hello, Sam. I am in the journey away from my special camera model. It can be done, but it requires commitment. You are welcome to read my journal, if you wish (see button below my avatar); my trek has not been ideal, but I’ve made progress.

There are several people here who have overcome this or worse. Welcome! Take each day as it comes.
