Why do some get hooked on humiliating genres?

hi! To my understanding, it's mostly porn induced (taboo, "different", escalating need of rush), but it can also derive from some sort of trauma, internalized or not. When we are seeking uncomfortable content it's an unconscious act of self harm. That is not to say that everybody having this fetish is traumatized or addicted, but that makes it a small percentage. Surprisingly or not, it also ties pretty often with the sissy stuff as well.

I do not believe porn brings out people's real selves, it's more of an exploration and gratification tool that can decisive you into believing something you are not. That's why exploring in real life (with a consenting partner or with a professional) is going to show way more accurate versions of someone's kinkiness than watching porn.
