Hi everybody! My name is rengoku, I'm 27 years old, and I've been addicted to pornography since I was 12~13 years old, it all started as a curiosity and at that time I didn't know how much it could ruin my life.

For many years pornography made me someone different, anxious, afraid to get close to people and increasingly isolated and depressed, today, I don't have friends, girlfriend or much prospect for the future.

Over the years I tried to stop several times, I tried nofap a few times, however, without success and the things I saw became worse and degrading, I am not proud of the things I saw, and today, with the productive things in my life, all I want is to get my life back.

I'm currently on day 0, and I'm using a porn blocker both on my PC and on my cell phone, password protected and uninstall protected, to prevent any minimal access to this type of content.

Greetings Rengoku, Congratulations on taking action. Porn addiction has had the same effects on my life, and we are similar ages. I am only a few days clean, but I already feel much better about myself. There's no way I want to go into my 30s and 40s still hiding away from the world to watch porn. We are in this together!
    Best regards '92

Thanks bro, I'm feeling better, I've talked to my mom about it, and she's been supportive too.

Wow, that's great! I think my problem is that I keep it secret from my friends and family. It's hard to cope with addiction all alone.

Of course man, if your parents are amazing and supportive, maybe it's interesting to be able to count on them for that. True friends too! My mom is amazing and stood by me even through my worst times, I feel so grateful to have her. Going through this alone can in some cases make things more difficult. If you can't or don't want to open up with family and true friends, seek help from a professional, it always helps to have someone to talk to.

Well at this point I really do feel like I need some professional help. I should try to see a therapist if I relapse again. In the meantime, I have this site. This has to be one of the most isolating addictions for those that are too shy to speak about it.

Yes, it's very lonely, but the secret is not to give up, and try to get to know people better, create real connections. It can be quite challenging, but it's worth it. If you need us, we're here.

Thanks, brother. I appreciate the support. Today I feel great. The newfound time I have that is not spent PMOing is now being used in much more productive ways. Life is good.
