Lost of enthusiasm?

Did you guys lose your enthusiasm? Feel like everything is forced?

 

Yes. This is likely a symptom of depression.

 

It sucks and it’s tough living like this :/ 90 days here I come. You’re like a moderator here or something, have you rebooted?

 

Yes it is. With the small amount you have said, it is not clear to me if you have some kind of clinical (diagnosed) depression. Alternatively, your loss of enthusiasm and motivation maybe because you are in a flatline after nearly six weeks without masturbation and/or porn.

I help to manage this group, but I am not a member of the staff.

I would not say I have fully rebooted because I still get urges to look at porn sometimes.

 

I don’t know how it feels to be in flatline because this is how I usually feel, just some weeks better than others, but I usually feel decent for a couple of weeks then crappy for a month and so on, more or less. I haven’t had a flatline, that I’m aware of, since the beginning of reboot when every relapse would just make me feel like I was literally sent back to square 1 or worse.

 

From the small amount I have learned from your story here, it would seem prudent to discuss this with your doctor. The stopping of porn and masturbation does not need to be discussed as you say you feel the way you do anyway. From your history, he may make a diagnosis or refer you to someone who can (a mental health professional such as a psychiatrist).
