Yes. The only downside is it may be difficult to avoid falling asleep but it's ok if you do.

 

There are many positions that can work. I often used a chair.

 

Yeah, you can do it in whatever position is comfortable for you. However, I don't recommend doing it when you're sleepy, because you may fall asleep instead of completing the meditation.
