    Hello,

Automatic welcome message proposed I should introduce myself to the community so here it goes...

I became addicted to porn online around 6 years ago. If I only knew then... It became ugly very fast. Inside a year from visiting my first porn website, I would masturbate 4 to 5 times a day, I would be late for work, I would spend half the night in front of the computer... There was no time of day or place I was safe from 'the urge'. Situation got even worse when I started browsing porn online on my phone also around 3 years ago.

I've been fighting this for the last 5 years. I've managed to reduce how many time a day I masturbate from 4 to 5 time a day to 1 to 2 times every day or every second day (depending on the triggers).

I've started leaving my phone in the other room, away from my bedside when I go to sleep. I've installed porn blocker on my internet browser, password locked it with a random password I don't know. And I've read on porn addiction and how to recognize the triggers, the warning signs and so on...

And all of that worked for the time, but then Windows 10 came. As you know, Windows 10 has Microsoft Edge browser which does not support plugins so I cannot install a porn blocker on it so through it porn slipped back into my life. Last couple of months I find myself more and more late at night browsing porn websites again. It's like all of my hard work is coming undone and I cannot let that happen.

Signing up to this online community is my first step in getting control back. I cannot install a porn blocker on Microsoft Edge but I have set up this site as my start page on Edge so when ever I get the urge late at night there's at least a chance I will get reminded what I am fighting for. Persistent and steady wins the race.

P.S. English is not my native language so I do apologize for any grammatical errors or clumsy syntax.

@Vanaleto welcome to nofap. You don't have to use Microsoft Edge just uninstall it and use firefox. That is what I do I also made changes to firefox so that it doesn't show images. Earlier images on regular sites used to lead me to little bit provocative sites and they in turn used to lead to porn sites etc so now I browse without images and I have less triggers.
Keep coming to this site and write about your daily struggles and accomplishments and you will make progress.
    I wish you good luck.

Welcome. No blocker will ever be 100% effective, but a standalone program for everything on your computer might work better than a browser plug-in. Since porn addiction can often piggyback on a more general internet addiction, I'd recommend looking for something that can restrict all internet access after a certain time on work nights. That way at least you'll be well rested and up to the challenge each day.

@LakeMichigan Unfortunately, you can't uninstall Microsoft Edge because it's part of the Windows 10 OS. You can't even remove it from the Start Menu.

@Redominion I have only recently heard about standalone programs that can block porn in your browser. It's pretty stupid I havent supposed something like that existed actually...

Also, welcome to NoFap, You've made a wise decision to start fighting back and taking control of your life. And if your pornblocker doesn't work, then you are your own filter. You have the power to do it. Good luck!

Welcome . . . you're one of the thoughtful, reflective posters, I just read your response on one of my threads. You'll fit right in. You've got a good heart. I can't believe English isn't your first language. It's impeccable. What's your language of origin?
