    I've been a porn addict for most of my life and at 63 years old I'm determined to go out unconquered. My addiction started with porn shops, theaters, and mags and then really got its hooks into me in the digital age. Introduction, I'm straight, "married" if you can call it that, and entering into my first serious battle with this beast. Wish me luck, any advice?

    @Edward* hello!

    First of all, I want to be the first to introduce you to NoFap. It's a great community here.

    The first thing I always recommend for people to do is to start a reboot log here on the site. Commit to posting in the log as often as you can. Once a day is the ideal amount as far as I can see.

    For your first post, make a list of reasons why you want to kick the habit. There can be as many or as few reasons as you want. Just make sure that they are your reasons. Clearly define them. Print them out and post them somewhere that you see them often. That way when you're tempted to give in, you can read through your reasons.

    Beyond that, I would recommend just searching around the site. Reading threads, asking questions... You know, the works.

    If you've got any questions for me specifically, never hesitate to ask!

    All the best,

    -Grindel
