Hi my name is Drew I am 21 years old and I have known for a long time that I am addicted to PMO and I believe it has affected my life negatively in the worst ways. Ive tried to quit numerous times before but usually I can only last about four days without porn and not more than two days without masterbation. I have been diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. I have low energy and motivation a lot of the time in part because of this. Ive only had one girlfriend my entire life and we were together for two and a half years before she left me for someone else in january. My PMO was definititely a big issue and part of the reason she left me. I now hardly have any friends and my social anxiety is just too much some days. Talking to girls my age is nearly impossible for me, especially if I am attracted to them. Sorry if this is kind of a downer intro but this is how i percieve things and I really feel deeply that a major root to my problems is PMO addiction. I really hope the success stories are true because I need to conquor this to move on in life.

Best wishes Drew. I'm nearly three-times your age and share some of your experiences. You've taken a major step forward here and I hope this marks the beginning of a new and better way. Someone wiser than me said that exposing your vulnerabilities is one of the secrets of developing a healthy and robust persona. Here, we can expose those vulnerabilities in a secure environment to mutually supportive people. Take full advantage of your fellow NoFap buddies. Best wishes again.

Hi Drew, PMO is not an insurmountable obstacle. It may seem like it is, but it is not. Your P habit/ addiction has hindered you from developing other areas of your life. The awareness of this is the beginning of not only a recovery from P, but the development of the potential you have. You aren't a slave, indeed, you have the desire to fight back and take control of your life. But to make this happen you are going to have to work on yourself; just as people go to the gym to build their muscles, you'll have to exercise your mind and develop it. You'll learn to take on new interests, and with that you'll find healthier desires developing . As they develop, your desire for P will weaken, and yes, even wither and die. Sound good? Do you want this? Then start working on inner and outer strategies to help strengthen your resolve. Read the journals here to learn how. All the best!~

Thanks for the supportive words I only managed three days without pmo until i had to do it to fall asleep after hours of trying to sleep with work the next morning. My next goal i guess is to double that and hit 6 days or more. I also just managed to conjure up the courage to tell my therapist that i have a porn habit, something I havent told anyone else in person. Im not sure where to post my progress so im just kind of posting it here.
