Quit Porn, not Masturbation, problems arise.

    Dear All,

    i would request you to help me out in any way you could as im desperate and depressed.

    Around 2 months back i quit porn and experienced better erections and return of morning wood, however, i continued to masturbate once a day using my imagination. over the past few days i have realized that i am having problems getting an erection and there seems to be no functionality of my penis.

    I would like to request anyone here to provide me with a remedy. i was really happy during the time i was feeling better but now i feel like shit again

    Don't think for one second that P will help.

    I think you just need to gradually stop M—stopping M all at once would be better, but I know how hard it is. A little M is okay (not recommend, but okay), but too much M, even without P, can cause hormones to go out of whack. It can also cause you to associate sexual pleasure with the grip of your hand, leading to ED during real sex.

    Fantasies can be a problem. Despite not using P, it causes objectification and a skewed idea of sex. I know it's hard, but try to stop. You can distance yourself from a fantasy and bring to mind everything bad about it. Imagine her charging you for rape. Perhaps imagine you were telling the girl's father about everything you want to do. (This might not work for you, but find something that does.) The longer you keep trying, the easier it gets.

    Some of this may scare you. You may think you cannot do it. But we are all going through a very similar thing; your body is acting how bodies do. Read some success stories. It is possible to stop, but not easy. Never give up giving up.
