I'm with you, man. Once anyone stops PMO, you appreciate the opposite sex in a clear and non-sexual way and see them just simply as a human being.

 

Ok....ok...I know....but I am still very attracted to women....but you are right...it is a more normal attraction.

Well done! That's great to hear. I think it can be all too easy for us to beat ourselves up for noticing an attractive woman or a woman who is scantily clad. That's completely normal and in my opinion not a concern. There's nothing wrong with noticing one of God's beautiful creations. However, where the issue lies for me is when I then take things to the next step and allow myself to start fantasizing, mentally undressing her, looking for panty lines because I'm wondering what kind of underwear she's wearing, trying to picture her naked, etc. That path leads to me objectifying women and viewing them more as a sex object than a person that I could have a healthy connection and interaction with. I'm sure plenty of guys would say "there's nothing wrong with looking, just no touching." But it's a slippery slope that has lead me to porn time and time again. For me, I have to nip it in the bud instead of taking that first step into fantasy.
