90 Days. Definite value in undertaking such a challenge.

    I made it.

    Going for 180.

    I can say that my habits have changed - but I am still at risk of relapsing.

    Going to pay out the balance on my smartphone - continually threatens to be my undoing. Back to flip. Something that I cannot access porn or social media on as easily, if at all.

    Today begins my caffeine cessation experiment as well. Been able to clearly notice correlations with what goes into my body and the resulting feelings/tendencies.

    However folks, I am proud to say I have not fapped to porn nor smoked weed once in three months and I feel like I have really accomplished something. These two activities were out of control and were eroding my will and confidence.

    Time to hit the gym. Will update with particulars tonight.

    im also doing no caffeine i think its better because i don't crash at work anymore and i can do 12/16 hour shifts without getting really tired like before.

    Gratulations on your achievement, now aim for even higher streak. I am addicted to caffeine, always been. I think ill join to you on this challenge, lets see what happens. I heard somewhere caffeine as stymulant makes urges stronger.

    That interesting that you say that because my urges have been WAY less then before and when i went on my 80 day streak i was caffeine free also.

    Read somewhere that there is evidence that caffeine rewires one's brain and really alters dopamine levels and whatnot.

    Let's see, I recently went 40 days without coffee and my urges subsided drastically. Soon as I abused it again... Edging every day.

    So today is day 1/90.

    I have also ordered some intense probiotic enzymes to help clean my gut out which allegedly can help with brain fog, depression, sleep, etc. Waiting on those to arrive too.

    Alright folkz.

    I relapsed. Had a moment of weakness.

    However I am even more committed to beating this now. The PMO was so underwhelming and disappointing. I don't even think I will get a chaser. I'll be careful but still.

    Lesson learned. It'd be nice if someone would tell me I haven't completely ruined my progress. I know I haven't but I feel really shitty right now. Weak.

    Phone is going. ASAP.
     
  7. One relapse pales in significance to 90+ days of nofap. You might have lost one battle but you are winning the war! Keep it up!

    Thank you. Needed that. It'll be okay. I have literally zero urges to repeat PMO. Last night revealed to me the pointless emptiness of such an impulse. I will spend the weekend climbing back out.

  9. Day 17 and I haven't relapsed yet but I'm preparing myself mentally for that possibility. If it happens what will I tell myself.

    1 My aim is to turn an oil tanker around 180 degrees. If I have a relapse the oil tanker stops turning momentarily but it doesn't go back to its original course. The trick is to get it moving in the right direction again as soon as possible.

    2 Lost a battle but won loads of other battles and therefore winning the war

    3 this is no longer just about my own personal victory but about the collective difference the nofap community is making in the world. As a community we are winning, changing, improving. I want to be part of this team win.

    4 Team nofap always accepts my best efforts and my willingness to try again.

    Honestly the brain fog has dissipated already. I helped a stranger in dire straits this morning. She is a regular at my workplace and came in today. She panhandles frequently outside and is quite poor. Came in cussing, obviously distressed. Her dog is sick and no vet would take her. So I helped her make inquiries, even walked to a nearby hospital to book her an appointment.

    What I realized after that is this: NoFap is a struggle. Yes. But this woman has been abandoned, is constantly at risk of lapsing back into alcoholism, losing her dog, being evicted. So really, my problems with PMO are nothing.

    Onward, sirs. Clean slate. Start anew.

    90 days severely weakened my negative neural connections. This is good.

    Just remember the standards you set for yourself in the beginning and repeat the previous success. You know you can do it, because you HAVE done it.

    Also, as somebody else has said, stop counting the days. Just make no-PMO a permanent change in your life. Counting is good in the beginning to mark your progress, but now you have already proven what you are capable of.

    It's not the case,

    We're unravelling from/or enlightening to A New, Better Me/You,
    Each and every day! Whole swaiths of negativity are being transformed/released to do the GOOD that it is meant to be doing,
    Staying Strong is a Snowball effect always building momentum
    (Lift your sights beyond the small setback
    Try and sandwich your little setback between the 95% Good
    Keep a GOOD stuff journal possibly)
    Then you can look at your day/week/month/year and work in perspective!

    You Can Do This!

    Did it again.

    The struggle is real.

    But you know what? I am not letting myself feel guilty. That leads to moping and defeatism.

    All of you are right. I CAN do this because I have.

    Sometimes it's second guessing. And I know what works and what absolutely does not work.

    It was to a FB image; not hardcore shit. So fuck it, I'm disappearing. Joined a local weightlifting club. Gonna pour all of my energy into that and into my guitar. Physical and creative aspirations will keep me on track.

    Got my P3-OM probiotics today. Looking to heal my gut as I think this is something holding me back. Promises of clarity.

    I already feel... Intensely calm. After taking some.

    I messed up last night,

    I tried to permanently delete some stuff in my recently deleted folder

    I opened it and lost it, messed up but I dont want to feel too guilty,
    I'm Stronger and the Good days are more than the bad

    I'm starting some Reiki therapy tomorrow day,

    Counselling starts Tuesday and I feel ready to ask for support Possibly from someone close to me,
