I am 17 years old and i first started looking at pornographic images when i was in 5th or 6th grade and started masturbating shortly after i started watching videos. I did this before i knew it was wrong but when i did realise it was wrong (12-13 years old) I have desired to stop and had small temporary successes in quitting porn from time to time but they never lasted and I have had less success quitting masturbation. I believe that if i can recieve help and support from a community such as NoFap I might be able to quit for good. I think porn is bad because it interferes with my walk with Christ, it enslaves the mind to urges, it dehumanises the women that I view in the porn and it can interfere with relating with the young women in my life. I also heard of the other mental and physical benefits that this challenge might give me if i was to successfully undertake this. So let it begin!
