Has anyone of you ever defeated porn hoarding addiction? With that I mean the compulsive need to download new scenes and hoard them. I do this because I'm scared that sometime in future I'll never be able to find them or that I'll never find one such good like this even if I've already ton of them (I'm talking about TBs of videos).

I don't even fap since I started this, I just watch them a bit and put them away and this is becoming quite annoying but the fear of losing the "god-like" scene is always there so I keep hoarding.

I know exactly what you mean. Although when I started, it was all about buying VHS tapes and/or DVDs and having to stash them in a secret spot. As things turned more towards the internet, downloading onto the hard drive meant I eventually needed to get them on a disk and stash them. I'd never go back to them, but just knowing I had them was assuring. I would need to purge every so often, but I'd regret losing that "rare scene" that I could never replace.

But now it's easier than ever to hoard because you can keep your favorites on the cloud. In turn this makes things more difficult for those of us who never want to watch P again. I too have never been successful in getting rid of my "stash", regardless of it being virtual now.

This can definitely happen and I experienced this with porn as well as aquiring sex toys. The way to fix this is quite simple: get rid of everything you have, just permanently delete it. You may have spent a lot of money or time on your collection but all of it has to go before you can move on. It feels like a big loss initially, but you will quickly come to realize you made the right choice. My stash still lies dormant online I should destroy it to eliminate any risk of digging it back up.

  6. I've had experience with this. The way I was slowly able to wean myself off hoarding videos or pictures was to tell myself that nothing in porn is new. You've already seen it all, as in you've seen men and women engaged in sexual activity either together or by themselves. All porn is just variations on the same theme right? You're not missing out, and you've seen that same theme hundreds or thousands of times. After I was able to start viewing porn under these perspectives, I deleted all of my saved content quickly. I had to do it fast because I didn't want to give myself time to talk myself out of it, like ripping off a band aid. I also hating feeling like I was enslaved to the hoard. I owned it, but it also owned me in that I had to keep growing it and could never be satisfied that enough was ever enough. That fear of never being able to find it again will go away after you can get over the fact that it's still nothing new. You can do it :)

I think we need motivation on daily basis to stay away from these porn sites on daily basis.

I even tried recording those after MO feelings but nothing much goes in mind when balls full.xD

  9. I think we know that they don't "somehow" return after they're deleted :) It does take a lot of self discipline and willpower to fight off the urge to download them again, and to get over that fear of missing out on something new. Keep working at it!

A lesser known fact is that "stroking" without O is known as edging, and it's more dangerous than regular MO because the addictive dopamine levels stay high without that final relief of O. Try to stay away from doing that as well.

I was a hoarder. When I was on a behavior cycle I'd amass constantly, until I'd hit rock bottom in disgust, then delete the whole hoard, then basically start over a few days later.

That was the old me, however... Now I'm staying well clear of it.

I think that the "hoarding" is not the real addiction, though, it's the buzz from O.

Actually I think every video I have have something different, and this thought is deeply rooted into my brain. It will be hard to erase.

    Anyway thanks for the feedback.

What I found was that keeping the stash made me want to revisit it and add to it. Once it was gone, I had no desire to start a new stash. I knew how much time I had wasted accumulating the files and knew it would take as much time to reassemble. Yes, just delete. You will find excuses not to do so, but once it's gone it will be easier to keep it gone.

The impulsive habit is the main problem. The result of it is somewhat easily overcome.

So let's start. Locate the drive and folder on which you've stored these "God-like" scenes. Delete them all and empty your trash. It really is that easy. Don't try to tell me or pretend to yourself like it's not. I've had this problem in the past and I've deleted tens of hundreds of gigs of porn at a time. It can be done.

When you take care of that, realize that the reason you do this is because you've developed a condition of paranoia. This is common among compulsive porn-watchers and masturbators. I tried to justify it for myself by saying, "I actually enjoy the beauty of some of these girls." Unfortunately, there's nothing beautiful about porn and all of it -- the things the industry tells you and all those you perceive yourself -- is a lie.

Delete, reflect, regroup and start being compulsive about things that will actually improve your life instead.

Ahhh the days of VHS tapes and mags were so much easier in getting rid of and keeping stashes away. For one under the bed or closets. Hold only hold so much and two it was so costly and time consuming to replace that it overrode the desire for the most part.

I think the hardest thing for hoarders-me included-- is that even if there is a clarity moment, we kinda k ow what was important and where to get it again so even if it is on a hard drive or o the web what was the difference..... for me the times I had a stash I spent less times looking at it because I knew it was there then when I didn't have it and was afraid that I couldn't find it and spent more time looking for the exact pic or vid I didn't have again....make sense?

I used to be a terrible hoarder.
    30 sum videos a night (5min a piece typically).
It was all on my mobile. I used to have it in a hidden folder on my mobile.
Eventually I enlightened myself on this hoarding. So I put an acetylene torch to my phone and sd card separately.
I was getting a new phone anyway. From that day on I was strictly streaming. And now I'm here trying to quit streaming.
