One year on: total PIED. UPDATE

    One year on, little improvement. Here's the deal:

    27 year old single male

    Unable to get a full erection (often 50-60%'ers) when alone or with someone. (Problem has lasted a year with minimal change).

    Fit- gym 3 times a week mostly doing weights, play football once a week.

    Rarely drink alcohol

    Smoke cigarettes 1-3 times a week.

    No drugs.

    Not depressed.

    Been to two doctors- both confused.

    Not on any medication

    Testosterone levels checked. 'normal' according to doc

    No diabetes

    No injuries

    ED pills (Viagro)- make me stay at a 60% hardness IF aroused and when masturbating.

    Extremely rare morning wood over last year.

    Tried ginseng, Maca, horny goat weed, tribulus, citrulline, zinc, vitamin B complex. None have helped.

    Been on a few dates. Managed 1/3 erection when kissing over drinks. Have to really be in the moment.

    Right, now that that's all out the way, here's my story- a year ago in February I woke up one morning and couldn't get an erection. I played and played with it lying alone in bed. Nothing happened. Couldn't get horny at all either. The morning a day or two before that, I woke up, touched my penis and got 100% hard. I have not been able to get a 100% erection since. Very rarely, I've had morning wood. Usually occurs after not orgasming for 2+ months. I can orgasm fairly easily with a semi-hard penis. I haven't watched porn for 1 year. Used to watch it occasionally before.

    What happened? Please help.

    Yes sometimes, not full on stroking though. Mostly touching through my underwear. But I really don't do this much.

    That really sucks. Were you able to get 100% erections while using P? Also, do you have lots of stress in your life?

    the few times I've used P, maybe 80% erections maximum. As I'm orgasming it grows to 90%. No no stress really, nothing significant at least.
     
  10. It sounds like maybe you're still in the rebooting process, even after a year. We all react differently, and our brains all heal at a different rate. The 90 day cycle is probably a median target, I'm sure plenty of people either reboot quicker or slower than that. I think probably the worst thing you can do right now is return to porn to 'test' your physical response. Maybe give yourself some more time?

    I need to reach a 90 day streak and report back. It just feels so unhealthy not cumming for that long though. Feels like my cum is just sitting there inside going rancid...

    I've seen so little progress though. Other's like me always seem to have a partner to help or notice improvements a lot sooner. I'm wasting away the best years of my life not being able to have sex, yet alone not being able to even masturbate! (not even through choice but because I physically can't!)

    Try to focus on something else than improvement of your sexual skills. Start practicing yoga instead or something else. My best advice...

    I agree. Take this time to improve other areas of your life as well. ED could be related to something else like stress or some other psychological factor. Think about changing your diet as well. Meat and dairy have been linked to poor blood flow and ED. Maybe try cutting those out and going vegan for a while. Good luck buddy

    I do photography, exercise and learn musical instruments. I also socialise and cook with my housemates. I don't just sit around doing nothing that's for sure.
    Also various people have replied on other forums over the year to me, saying my ED could be stress or sadness etc. What they forget is that my ED literally occurred overnight. Like something switched off in my brain. I was not stressed at the time anyway. I was a bit lonely, but none more than I'd ever previously been. In fact when I was lonely I was always still super horny. These can't be causes of my sudden ED.

    My theory (but what the hell do I know) is that years of masturbation and edging gradually desentitised my dopamine receptors and neural pathway between brain and penis. Delta FosB protein accumulated in my brain too. I wouldn't have really noticed it until my brain fell off the cliff suddenly one day after a long masturbation session the night before. It's as if 99% brain damage was fine and I could still get fully hard, but 100% damage meant no erection at all. I need a neurologist to analyse my brain. But that's hard to organise ha.

    Maybe you have a subconcious blockade. Maybe try to see a hypontist? Trying out can't harm.

    You are probably like a bird who once broke it's wing and forgot how to fly/thinks can't fly anymore (subconciously).

    Sorry man I dont know what to tell you. When I said psychological factors I meant it more as do you feel like there is conflict inside of you from something going on in your life or something in your past that may have surfaced? I obviously wouldnt be able to tell you if this is it or not. For me this was the case. This isnt really a suggestion Im just sharing my experience but hallucinogenic mushrooms really helped me open up and deal with supressed feelings that were affecting me negatively and keeping me stuck.

    Thank so guys. So I have a huge update-
    I had sex last night for the first time in 14 months. It lasted 1 and a half hours and was so fun. No PE either. I was a machine. I was also 90% hard throughout. She was a 6.5/10 with a nice ass. We met that night, had a drink. Went back to mine. I've never had such a quick turn around.
    I had a few drinks and popped viagro pill 20 Mins before (which I think helped). I stayed hard through sex and kinda hard with bjs and hjs. No P fantasies at all. Wow I'm so surprised this happened.

    Good to hear man! Your story reminds me a lot of my experience with PIED, and it is very demoralizing. Right now I am feeling as you felt, feeling like I am wasting years of my prime and not noticing improvements. I haven't tried PIV yet during my reboot, (am going 90 days hard mode) but your story gives me hope. Keep up the good work we can get through this!
