Hello. I'm new to this website/forum, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I don't suffer from an addiction to porn, but I do have a masturbation addiction. And I've had it since I was about 11 or 12 years old. When I get the urge, I almost can't say "no". It's so strong that I feel it in my abdomen, sort of like it "heaves". I know that masturbation is okay for most, but this is an addiction, and I simply can't stop. If I can get this addiction under control, then I'll not feel "dominated" by this. Thanks for listening/reading.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that I was a Christian for almost 40 years, and that caused me to feel guilty every time I masturbated... for the entire 40 years. I'm no longer religious, and I don't feel guilty about it. I just want control.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

I'm curious, you said you were a Christian for almost 40 years and are no longer. Do you no longer believe Christ is the savior of sins?

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

I don't know if this is the proper place for this subject, but I truly, sincerely, believe that Christianity is a man-made religion, and it's no more legit than any other world religion. I believe that in my "heart of hearts". I also truly don't believe in life after death. And that's coming from a man who wrote songs about Jesus and performed them, played in numerous worship teams, etc. Please don't try to evangelize me. It will be a waste of your time and mine. Have a good day.

I wasn't going to evangelize to you, as I said, I was curious. You answered my question. Now I want to help you as I would anyone else.

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

My apologies. I assumed wrongly. My strategies would include reading posts on this forum, watching YouTube videos on the subject, and saying aloud a few things, which has worked for me against alcoholism addiction. Up until I learned about NoFap, I had very little hope. I now can see that a lot of people suffer from addiction in this area.
