Hello Everyone, I'm completely new to this community. I'm a sailor presently in the middle of the pacific ocean right now and about three days ago I decided I wanted to rid myself of the addiction I have been ignoring for over nine years for religious and personal reasons. I've seen the most extreme cases from my coworkers and I'm scared to death that I'm looking at myself in the future. No more. I've only started and the withdraw symptoms are hitting me hard. Its not going to let me go without a fight but neither am I. Thanks everyone.
Welcome to the Nofap-community. Unfortunately I didn't find out what addiction you are talking about, obviously it is P and/or M-addiction. Doesn't matter - any addicition is limiting our joy of life. Maybe you want to make a commitment and start your No PMO-journey. Will not be easy but worth the effort. You already mentioned the withdraw symptoms. Generally the first days and weeks are the hardest. It needs sincere effort to resist the urges. The community will help and support you. You like sailing in the middle of an ocean? I think I would be seasick all the time.
I was just talking about porn addiction. Its the only addiction I have had. Never did drugs and never found alcohol too thrilling. Sea sickness is kind of a funny thing to deal with. Whenever you first start sailing after a while of not doing it, you feel the worst you have ever felt in a long time. Nausea, throwing up, and the like. After two days you feel somewhat normal. Unless your sailing in 40-50 ft seas on the regular, you wont have a problem with it anymore. It varies for people but that's what I have found to be the general rule. Thanks for checking in.

Well first of all, my number one strategy is do stay extremely busy. I never want a single second of down time where I'm not occupied with something. If I'm not thinking about something productive, I'm thinking about how much time that its been since I PMOed. Secondly, I'm going to be realy picky about what websites I get on and leery of any sexually charged photos I see. I'm actually thinking of using a web blocker on my computer. Thirdly, I just found an accountability partner so he's going to help me out. Lastly, I got God and prayer so that will help me get pretty far alone. Other than that, I'm kind of making it up as I go.
