i feel i need to rant Lately i noticed it here especially yesterday, of women being insulted simply for being women. this isnt cool man. i know many of us treated women as objects when we PMO’d, but thats no excuse to treat them bad especially on a porn recovery website. they are people too, with their own goals, aspirations, strengths, weaknesses and desires. just because theyre women, or just because we’re men, doesnt mean we should all be thrown into some stupid collective category, and be denied our basic wants in our own lives just because of those categories. id say get the hell out of your porn mindset and treat everyone with respect.
A great salute from me to all the women on NoFap and in the world. My mom is a woman. My sister is a woman.
I pointed that out to someone who was saying something sexist and he said he didn't mean his mother, he meant other girls.
Only one think i noticed here is women keeping beautiful avatars get much more support and attention than normal males. So, i don't think everbody is same. Women get more respect here than men.
That's a laugh. Have you ever been told here that you're worthless unless you're pretty and making babies? Because I have. So... pretty sure that theory doesn't hold up. But it doesn't matter anyway. Stop adding to the gender war by making statements like "women have ______ so much easier than men" and stuff like that. Generalizations are always dangerous, and it just causes offense when people don't fit into that category and don't feel heard or like their experience is valid. Also, don't confuse horny guys trying to be nice to girls so that they might eventually get something from them as "respect." Women might get more ATTENTION here at times, but that does not equal more respect.
It seems like the tension between the sexes is higher than it's ever been before. There is this whole feminist movement that has radical support and opposition and both sides have some views that are perhaps misplaced. However I consider myself to be a feminist simply because I support the advancement of women's rights and the social norms of how they are viewed and treated. Things are still not where they need to be as far as gender equality and the internet has made this problem worse in many ways. Everyone is different and we should respect those differences because homogeneity does not benefit society. Women deserve to have a voice and that voice should be just as loud and just as important as men's.
THIS times a million, desperation and a expecting something isn't the same as "respect". Attention? Sure we can get more yeah but definitely not more respect, I've had my picture on here plenty of times and you know what I've gotten with that so called respect? Desperate blokes asking for "pics" so i can help them with their porn addiction, or some other excuse to see my body. In terms of help I get it just like everybody else here, so don't confuse respect with attention as they're clearly not the same. Nor do most of us upload those pictures for attention.
Oh..i am sorry for that..then i think its just the mentality of some men here. I have met some bad ones too. I saw a new girl with her (or someone else) picture on her avatar and within a minute, she was showered with helps and AP messages and all which no male members get here. I think men need to change themselves. I sometimes think that NoFap is just another aspect of social media. What is the meaning of nofap if women are being asked for their pictures. Then there is no difference between NoFap and facebook.
I think there must be a thread for the importance of women in a man's everyday life. Any inspiring story.
Some people unfortunately treat this site as Facebook for the likes or even a hookup site. It wasn't all the time that happened though but itiwas enough, it's frustrating when you come here to leave that stuff behind to have somebody do something like that to you. That's why for me personally it's just easier not to have one right now, so I can focus on recovery and not be bothered.
No, but if I was in a better place already I would be okay. I like people being able to see the real me.
Safety comes first. Everybody has different mentality here. Even as a boy, i don't feel safe to keep my personal avatar here. Maybe, with some heavy filters.
In terms of safety I've never had or have problems with that on here or anywhere else, I just don't want to relapse and such but I know what you're saying.
