Where are the benefits?

    hey guys. I will get straight to the point. This day 32 on nofap, i am happy on making it this far. But i dont see the benefits all the people are talking about such as, destroy social anxiety, high motivation, attract girls, being comfortable around people. To be honest i noticed a slight different in my social skilss(5% better) and i have been going to the gym consistently. But i still didnt have things that i can call super powers.

    Kept watching at porn? I did when I tried to complete the NoFap September challenge (relapsed on the day 11 or so though I didn't fap for the rest of the month) and it ruined the rest of my progress :'v

    Ok brother, let's reflect on what you have done so far. According to the many successful NOFAPPERS out there, here are some essential habits that you have to do in order to get ALL THE BENEFITS:

    1. Wake up early and Sleep early: What time do you wake up? What time do you sleep? Our mind and body recovers the FASTEST when we sleep at 10 and wake up at 5. I'm currently a high school student dealing with college essays next fall and lots of tests, but I CAN assure you that once you wake up at 5 for 1 day, YOU CAN CONTINUE TO DO IT! Before realizing this, I always failed at getting most of the benefits. I've only started it on my last journey, and I CAN'T help to describe how helpful it is!

    2. Be Socially Active: Do you stay home most of the time and play computer games / watch Youtube videos a lot? Being socially active DOESN'T just mean that you should spend 1-2 hours outside. It means that YOU MUST spend at least 1/2 of the day outside. What I recommend is doing exercise outside, such as running, jump rope, basketball, etc....People are actually right when they say "nature is the best cure". If you have time, consider HIKING, too!

    3. Find WAYS to relax your mind: One thing that many nofappers continuously ignore is the reason why they relapse. And I can guarantee you that 80% of the time, we relapse because we feel like NOFAP isn't giving us the benefits (which is exactly what you mentioned here). In turn, the longer we think that we aren't making progress, the easier it is for us to loose our control against our temptations. This is because we are going to be more depressed each time we think about it, eventually leading to a NOFAP-FAP-NOFAP mood disorder cycle. THUS, it is ESSENTIAL for you to find ways to relax your mind. THIS IS BECAUSE WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT IF NOFAP CAN GIVE YOU SHORT-TERM BENEFITS FAST, THEN EVERYONE WOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT AND THUS THIS FORUM SIMPLY WON'T EXIST! THE REASON SO MANY PPL WENT BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN FAP AND NOFAP IS THAT THEY LACK THE PATIENCE AND COURAGE FOR A LONG AND TEDIOUS, YET AMAZING JOURNEY. My top 2 methods for getting back a good mood is through meditation and walking around (yes, you heard it right!). I recommend, when you wake up everyday, meditate for about 5-10 minutes, and continuously repeat this behavior for a month to see if there is any changes. For walking around, it is best to spend 30 minutes outside. The more you do it, the happier you feel. Research has indicated that there is a rise in seretonin associated with walking.

    4. HELP other people around
    When we are helping other nofappers out there, we are essentially also helping ourselves by reinforcing the concepts of NOFAP. Our mind can be intelligent, however also displays weakness when exposed to strategies from our temptation. The more we reinforce and help other people, the more we feel confident and happy about life, which essentially REDUCES the number of temptations we have.

    I hope you found these helpful! It is also helpful for you to point out which kind of benefits you are expecting! But remember, if NOFAP is for short-term benefits, THEN EVERYONE WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL AT IT! BE PATIENT, AND WAKE UP EVERYDAY TO EXPECT GREAT THINGS TO HAPPEN! NOFAP ISN'T A MIRCAL CHANGE IN A SECOND, BUT AT SOME POINT, THE BENEFITS ARE GONNA LEVEL OFF!!1

    1 thing that might help is if you try to remember why you decided to do nofap.

    Was it just for super powers, because then you might feel discouraged when you don’t feel them right away. But if you had ANY ulterior motive think about that, exam in if you have made progress in that goal.

    Perhaps that can give you the boost you are looking for before you start to feel the benefits aka “superpowers”.

    If you are unlucky, 2 years.

    If you are lucky, 3-12 months maybe.

    Depends on a lot of factors, such as staying offline, avoiding situations etc..
