Its day 8 and i cant sleep. Idk why ive been able to sleep pretty well the previouse days. I did nothing different. I take cold showers during the day and before bed. It worked before and now im having trouble sleeping. I excercise too and eat healthy. I had work today so im realy tired
Here are some suggestions you can try before bedtime: - Warm showers instead of cold. Your daytime showers can be still cold. - Relaxing teas. - No screens (phone, tv, pc) one hour before bedtime. - Short exercise, or yoga. You can find yoga routines on Youtube, search for "bedtime yoga". - Meditation. You can even try guided meditations in bed. "Body scanning meditation" has a relaxing effect. - Breathing exercises. Maybe something like 4-7-8 breathing. - Reading a book. Ulysses always puts me to sleep, I never was able to finish it
Thanks. I did take a shower right before bed. But i did that the other nights and still slept like a baby.
Oh I thought it was a regular thing. Dude, if it happened once, why worry this much? We are complex animals, and our bodies don't function the same everyday. 95% of the days, I can sleep anywhere at anytime, but sometimes it happens that I can't sleep in my bed at night. Not a big problem.
If it’s just one night that’s one thing. If it goes beyond that PM me. I’ve had insomnia in and off for 2 years and know some useful stuff. It can sometimes happen when quitting P because of the changes in brain chemistry.
Well i did have insomnia from time to time before nofap. Maybe due to bad choices like over eating. Or eating late or too much time on screen before bed. Note: Also im currently doing a keto diet with intermittent fasting.
I take a melatonin supplement every night before bed, which works wonderfully. Thirty minutes to an hour after taking it I am almost falling asleep in my chair. Melatonin is a chemical that your brain is supposed to release at night to make you feel sleepy, but artificial lights (TV, computer, even the lights in your house) trick our brains into thinking it is still daytime, so they don't release the melatonin that they should. Taking a supplement brings the levels of melatonin in your brain to where they should be.
While I am certainly an advocate of Keto it can affect your sleep. You may try taking a tablespoon of honey before bed. It should not pull you out of keto and will help with the sleep
I think it could mineral difiency since keto can flush all your minerals quick. Today ive experince some diarrhea which is one of most common symptoms. This is also my first time doing keto.
Ive read that people on nofap would get 4-5 of sleep but they dont feel tired after. But for me i got 4hrs of sleep last night and when i awoke im still tired. I also tried getting sleep this Afternoon and had hypnic jerks( i think cuz i was forcing it)Is this normal? Has anyone experienced this?
