Apart from the basic three-study,workout,meditate, I still find myslef in situations where i got some free time and nothing exciting to do,any fun habit that you'd like to recommend?
Age: 15, so take my words with a grain of salt. If you don't feel bad for any reason, you can read some books. There are books on all kinds of things, from personal development, to how propoganda affects our world, to math and finally whatever Eastern, "weird" topics there are. Of course, you can just read good stories. Time per day? I would say 10-30 minutes at a specific time. You might take notes, you might not. What's important is suiting your interests. Go for what interests you !!
Journaling is also great, just reflecting on how your day has been makes you focus on the things that are most important to you. Learning a new skill - cooking, playing an instrument, social skills.
Im a simp for fiction, are there any benefits of that? And im 14 so your words aren't that vague xD,if i like my book i'll read it all day long but then i'll burn out
Currently in a band and learning the euphonium, pretty fun but can't do that all the time so still looking for more stuff
Tips on how to journal: 1. Just start writing, see what happens.. 2. Use a template with questions: - What happened today that I feel good about? - What happened today that I feel not good about? Why? - Have I gotten closer to my goals today? How? 3. Thankfulness. List the things you have in your life that you are thankful for. (This is very powerfull, it will make you a happier person). There are always things to be thankful for. For example, I am thankful for being healthy, intelligent, and attractive. I am also thankful that I have a family that loves me. Etc. 4. Explore your dark side (see lonerwolf.com website for their shadow work) 5. Practise self love. You can do that for example by writing a love letter to yourself. What do you really love about yourself? 6. Dive deep into your addiction. Where does it come from? What feelings are you looking for in porn, what genres do you watch, why? Tips on how to improve social skills: - read some books about social skills (e.g. How to win friends and influence people) - read books / forums on dating advice for man. Search for the term "pick-up artist". - Listen actively when someone is telling you something. Ask questions about that, take an interest in that person and what they like. Don't jump into what you think, or like, or want to say. Let the other express themselves first. - practise social skills. Go out and talk to strangers, even small talk about the weather is ok. Smile. Ask questions. - Keep it short. Make small talk, and then say "It was nice meeting you, see you around." Don't overstay your welcome, don't keep hanging around with nothing else to say. Keep it short. It makes them wanting more.
Remember that what interests you is likely a key factor in this. You might one day want to learn a random subject and that's ok. You might also just want to read a good book (some can really make you think if you read slowly as if you were a character in the story). The main benefit from reading books I say is they give you creative ideas. Read 10-30 minutes everyday and you can literally bounce ideas around with whatever friend groups you have. What if we did this for today? What if we talk about this? Why should we do this? All these questions from the figment of your imagination are strengthened and mass produced by the creativity book reading can give you. As another person had said, happy reading !!
Sounds interesting, but when i think about it i don't recall anything but i guess I've been reading for years and years now,its probably in my subconscious by now, anyway thanks
Very basic but extremely important: good eating and sleeping habits, eating healthy and sleeping enough is not only good for physical wellbeing but also has a deep impact on mental wellbeing. i would recommend going to bed and waking up at the same time every day and minimise screen time before bed. Also playing chess is something you could try, both as a fun game to pass some time and something u can study and improve at.
