Hey there, which one most dangerous on our brains and life the pornography or masturbation? Because I know some of persons who doing the masturbation without watch porn and they do not have any troubles or pain like me because I am doing both of them! Just to be clear they have not seen porn totally only masturbation
Pornography is FAR worse than masturbation. However, for people like us (sex/porn addicts) masturbation is also very bad to do. Ultra Zork hit it spot on - Whatever u do don't watch porn, and I would strongly advise against masturbating. Both are considered a relapse.
@ CS1 This question is asked here, in some form, everyday. For a porn addict in the reboot, all artificial sexual stimulation is dangerous. That is because, even if it is not porn, even without porn, if you are rebooting, and you are using artificial sexual stimulation to get a dopamine high, you are just continuing to feed the problem. That is why the most successful rebooters go "hard mode". No porn, no PMO, no MO, and for a lot, no sex (which is not a problem for many, because sex is either unavailable, or, because of PIED, is physically impossible). Hard mode also includes avoiding thoughts of sex, fantasy, porn imagination, porn memory, etc. It is not science, but if you go hard mode for 90 days, a lot of guys think you are rebooted.
You are right @WilliamOneAndDone, a lot of guys believe that they are rebooted after 90 days "hard mode". Sadly, this is rarely true. This is virtually impossible for the younger guys here that have been watching high-speed internet porn through their childhood and adolescence when their brain is still developing and has been damaged by their exposure! The reality is that for teenage addicts, it could take double that long or even a year or two. It is an unpalatable truth, but the truth it is.
yea, on YBOP the guy said younger guys who started early can take up to 2 years to become how it was pre-porn. I'm simply going forever w/o PMO which is why I have abandoned a set goal, and just have a counter. However, It definitely is A LOT better after 90 days, just be careful and take it easy.
Yes, I agree that 3 months (especially on hard mode), will make anyone feel much better. But it saddens me to see the number that get to 90 or 100 or more days, only to relapse and struggle to get going again. It happened to me last year!
Same here, I went 60, then 118, then 65. Sucks, I'm at 37 days now, I feel 'normal' but this time I definitely won't fail. You and I should feel privileged, a lota guys cant say they got 37 or 50 days behind them...
