Though it's probably not worth repeating, my name is Kevin.

The 17 on the end of my name isn't actually random. It represents 2017 (next year, from the time of writing this) as it'll be my first full year of independence from parents or the safety net of going to school/college. I'm going to be a full-fledged, tax-paying adult, and that means I'm in a position to take full charge of my life and what I do with my time.

It is also the would-be anniversary of me starting this terrible problem with PMO. This is not, by any means something to celebrate or commemorate, but I'm using it as something of a motivation tool: my goal is to NOT hit 10 years with a porn addiction. That's more than 10% of the time I'll be alive (assuming I live a long, full life) and most certainly not what I want to look back on and regret on my deathbed.

Lastly, if I recall correctly, I was 17 years old when I took the first concrete, proactive steps in attempt to stop my habit. I've had plenty of small victories, but none for the long haul. Now that I'm here on NoFap, I'm looking to make this attempt the one that does the job for good.
