Hey everyone I use to read and write my own porn stories, now is reading and writing porn better then watching it on your brain? When your reading and writing your using more of an imagination so does that make it better for your brain?
It’s still bad, yes. In fact, it’s easier to get sucked into erotic books (and the GREATEST EVIL: Fanfiction) than it is to video porn, at least for me, because erotic books actually have a believable plot, and because erotic books doesn’t seem “as bad”, we don’t have the same negative emphasis on it, even though it’s terrible still.
Thanks MLMVSS I didn’t think about it that way which I feel dumb about I should know better. I just thought at least for writing porn it’s like having fantasies which I thought were healthy.
I’ve noticed a trend in here Rick C-137 so many people on here watch or like Rick and Morty. I find that ironic to have him as your username or picture because he’s a drunk and don’t think would want to quit but people in here do.
It is a tricky line. I went to a therapist (not an addiction counselor) that also thought sexual fantasies were a good thing. However, I can tell you from personal experience that keeping yourself stimulated for a long period of time with written porn does a couple of things you may not want: 1) The four chemicals that are released in your brain during any sexual experience happen here. The combination causes you to bond with the object of your sexual stimulation. Personally, I have stories in my head from reading that I am so bonded with, they may never leave. 2) while you may believe that you of course know the difference between fantasy and reality, a subtle change starts to happen that causes you to have unrealistic expectations during sex with a real person. To actually answer your question, no I do not believe the written stuff is as bad as the visual. The visual affect your brain much more, in a bad way. Do visual enough, and ED will show up.
I really like your response and that’s what I thought about the visual effects on the brain. I could see how the lines of fantasy and reality can easily get blurred
I would say yes (I agree with what people saying that it’s the images in your brain) But I also want to add, that for a while I convinced myself that audio porn was was beucase it wasn’t video, and I can tell you now I was 100% wrong and it had the same net effect on me!
Thanks peace467 for your comment and sharing about audio porn. Once I tried described video porn for some reason. it was weird and gross probably I thought that because I didn’t like the voice of the person describing.
Question with in a question is watching people have sex in real life and masturbating just as bad on the brain as porn? I’m gonna think not because it’s real
It’s as equally useless shit as pornographic pictures and videos. I’ve found though that the majority of women PAs are addicted to erotic stories and audio, while the majority of men PAs are addicted to images and video.
IMO erotic stories are worse than videos. Its easy to laugh at videos - the acting, the comical plastic surgery etc. If you're blessed with a good imagination, then erotic stories can conjure up a world - and a sexual partner - that the real world just cannot compete with.
I would say that videos are way worse. erotica has been around for a long, long time, but its side effects just don't compare to the historic rise in sexual dysunfunctions seen from high speed internet porn. the novelty just doesn't compare humans are very visual. there's a reason advertisements don't show you text that describes a big mac -- they show you a big mac
most of the responses have either been yes it is the same or no it’s not so I guess my decision is that it’s not as bad
