I recently read an article by Robert Weiss , where he classified porn addicts into two categories :

(1) Traditional Sex Addicts with a Porn Problem
&
(2) Digital-Age/Conditioned Porn Addicts

First category is trauma based , same as we see in people struggling with alcohol addiction/ drug addiction and the latter is for the people who have never had real-life sexual intercourse with anyone.

This article gets very interesting , and I think further study into this can reveal many sub categories . I personally can relate myself to the first category which is trauma based and I think it is still unexplored and further studies into this matter can reveal a lot which addict himself is unknown of.

I'm guessing I fall into category 1 as my imagination was sexually depraved long before I first watched porn. Porn just made it gradually more so.
