I'm back to day 1 and that's okay. I always relapse when I'm hungover. I don't drink that often anymore. Maybe once or twice a month, but when I go out for a 'few drinks' I always end up getting blackout drunk, wake up with a bad hangover the next day and get crazy urges to fap. I don't know why, but maybe because I'm spending more time laying in bed that morning and having a lazy day, boring or whatever. I have a couple of tough months ahead of me in work and I know I'm not going to have a lot of time to socialize so maybe this is the push I need. Anyone ever notice that fapping makes a hangover much worse too?
Yes it takes me to a very dark head space. BTW if I were u I'd stop blacking out. I can tell u from experience it can become a pretty fucked up cycle.
Yeah I agree with you. I might just have some more time away from Alcohol or perhaps try to quit for good. I'm not the kind of person who can go out and have a couple.
Apart from the bit about blacking out, I could have written your opening post. Hangovers are a major trigger for me and with the festive season coming up, I have been giving this some thought as I'm not planning to give up alcohol - even though my consumption has decreased. With hangovers I normally binge a lot om P&M and you know what, it makes my hangovers loads worse! but I will do it! I am on a bit of a streak now, don't want to ruin it and so my planned strategy for my next hangover is I'll have a list of alternative activities that I would be doing instead of M -Cold Shower -Walk -Eat -Drink Water and electrolytes -Sauna Absolutely prioritize sleep and rest, use NSDR Use mini goals - you wake up hungover.. The goal is just to get to the end of the day without M - if that is a stretch take it hour by hour and keep moving the goal. Create a bunch of mini goals for that hungover day.
Good luck bro. I'm getting into Andrew Huberman's work lately. I think Dopamine is the key to all of this stuff. It's no mystery to me why I lose fat when I get on a streak and why I find enjoyment in other things.
